Have a nice acoustic and an NCX900fm which I use for non classical music. Being able to stand to play and sing is important with my gigs, so I bought a fabric D'Addario with locking heads. Good straps for the money, but it would not hold either guitar in comfort or position. Constant adjustment during play. Bit the bullet for the L&M version of the Levi strap. Cannot tell the difference between the two brands except one saves about $20.
I could not believe the difference compared to the fabric strap. Once it was adjusted, and it can take some effort to find the combination of the strap slots, it was time to slap the forehead. Why did I wait so long? It stays put on the shoulders. It holds the guitar in position so you can work both hands without having to shift the body or tension neck muscles. It actually improved my playing because the guitar is positioned right where I want it,in angle and height. I even use it when seated instead of over the knee. Even if you don't gig, but play a lot of guitar - get one. You won't regret it.
