Very steady frame, good seat size, adjustable height bench. I find a cushion a bit soft, I would want it firmer so my back does not hurt after sitting on it for a while. A big problem - portability: it does not come with the carrying case and the bench pinches your fingers or falls apart while you attempt carry it folded. Very awkward to grab folded. An easy problem to solve for the designers/manufacturers: a simple fastening mechanism or a welcro strap to wrap around or a carrying case would be great.

I am a classical pianist and own several high quality benches. I purchased this one for my church job since I recently hurt my back and playing for several hours on a solid bench is hurting my leg. I have to say within the first rehearsal, I noticed less pain in my leg and for the price, I almost regret my expensive benches. My injury is not related to piano (I fell on ice) but, it is painful to play on a stiff bench. I am a larger person and it works for me. Easy to set up.

This piano bench weighs 13 lb.. The seat measures 24" x 13" x 3", and it is long enough to allow me to reach the upper and lower octaves of an 88 key piano. The foam seat padding is quite hard, but not inflexible. I weigh 163 lb., and I estimate that I depress the seat cushion about 1". The seat is covered with leatherette which, while not as durable as leather, should last a long time as long as it is not roughly handled. The metal X frame is solidly constructed. There are four height settings at 19", 21.5", 23" and 24.5". There are marker holes in the frame at the 19" and 21.5" settings, denoting the most popular height settings. The height setting can be locked and unlocked by turning four thumb screws clockwise and counterclockwise, respectively. The frame can be folded flat against the underside of the bench by releasing the frame from one end of the seat. I purchased this bench to do double duty with an 88 key upright piano in the home and a 61 key portable keyboard at jam sessions. I do not foresee the need to acquire a separate fixed height piano bench for the upright piano. I have not yet had the opportunity to evaluate this folding bench over a long period of time. My assessment at this time is that this bench will suffice very nicely for both of my applications. This is another quality product from Yorkville Sound.

I've had this bench for about six or seven years now and it's still got a little bounce in the cushion. No, it's not the most comfortable bench but for the price it's solidly built, light, very adjustable and the simple black blends into anywhere. I actually use it as the bench for my entire workstation because my keyboards are in front of me on the desk so I do spend longer periods on it. Take breaks and rotate the bench so you don't wear a dent in it and this will give you years of service. Wait for a sale or a coupon and you can't beat it at all.

My ancient folding bench from the 80s or something is on its last legs so I'm needing a new portable bench. I decided this one can't be bad, and boy, was I wrong. The good: the metal parts seem to be pretty well-constructed and I feel like this would last as long as my previous one did, possibly longer. The rest: It says "padded" and it looks thick, but it's hard as a rock. There is no give at all in the cushion. And the leather is cheap (if it's even leather), such that where I can sit for hours on my old bench, this one my butt sweats after half an hour. It's going back tomorrow.

I'm over 210 lbs and was concerned it might not be the right bench for a guy my size. Surprise! It's very sturdy. It has several adjustment levels which are very EASY to change. The padded seat is comfortable. Shipped in one business day. Great price. I am very pleased.

I had to return the benches I got from BestBuy and Amazon cause this one just blew them out of the water. Cushion feels amazing, unlike other benches this has a proper height range for piano, and most importantly: it is super sturdy AND the height adjustment knobs under the seat are by far the simplest, quickest, and best designed height adjustment out there (other benches have a knob in the middle of the legs, which is more time consuming and complicated). The seat is so sturdy and comfortable, and also the biggest seat you'll find amongst keyboard benches.

Stable, inexpensive bench that folds up nice and compact. It's got enough pin holes for fine adjustment, and it's wide enough to shift around on when playing songs that use the whole keyboard.

SO easy to set up, and adjust for height... comfy as they come... The "just right" economy bench for that digital grand... perfect size to pack up and run to a gig.... perfect! Quality is better than expected for the price.

I needed a bench that goes up to 24 inches high, because I have an organ bass pedal board, so my legs have to be "hanging" a bit. This bench is perfect for that with its adjustable height. Excellent quality overall, very sturdy, folds flat for transport, and low price.

Great bench, nice and comfortable, long enough to reach either end of the piano without having to shift it side to side. Good height settings and no set up required - no storage but worth it for the quality

I have been using this bench regularly when doing sit down gigs for over ten years. Work perfectly. The bench is strong and will not collapse unexpectedly. The covering material is not leather but has stood the rigours of time. An option for a carrying case is not easy to find. I had one made by a local sail maker.

Really like this bench. My young daughter and myself both like to play piano and we needed something adjustable. The lowest setting on this one is 19" and it goes up three or four inches for her. It's also wide enough that you can slide an octave up or down (left-right). Seat is very firm thick foam. Stable for an X-frame design too. Won't break the bank.
