I have had these headphones for 4 years now and they are still serving my purpose!
No, they are not the best headphones on the market, however, your not paying one or two hundred bucks either. They have always served me well. Good full sound and they monitor my studio recordings just fine. In fact, I'm buying another pair tomorrow.
The outside softer outside part of the pads wore down over the years, so I just turned the pads inside out and put them back on, works for me!
Good headphones for good value, honest!

Depends what you want to use them for. They really are not good at all for hi-fi or studio monitoring. But they are fairly rugged and I use them for private practice with my digital pedal peddle board. They actually make a lot of sense for this because they "thud" like a stack, have good mid-range and suit guitar only work quite well. I cannot see any advantage in spending more and they sure as heck beat any other cheap phone that I have used for this purpose. (And a few much more expensive ones!)

You really get a lot for what you pay for. Most Audio Technica products have that reputation. If you can afford it, I'd recommend the ATH M50's over this by farm those are amazing, and they are also pretty cheap for what you get for ($150 - $200). If you can't afford those however, the sound on these are still very nice and clear enough for recording purposes, the bass is good, it blocks out most noise, and they're pretty comfy to boot. This is the best budget buy I've come across in this range.

I bought these headphones about three years ago. They were a major improvement over the consumer phones I wore before. Unfortunately, within six months, they started rattling. I tore off the dust covers (which can't be removed non-destructively) and picked lots of hairs out of the drivers, which reduced the rattling but didn't eliminate it. Quite unsatisfying. I wouldn't buy these again.

Got these as part of a mic/headphone package. Great price but sound is a little lacking in depth - not a lot of detail in the bass end. Not surprising, but thats what it is. If you can afford a better set, get those instead. But if you're on a budget these aren't the worst I've heard in this price range.
