He holds a degree in Jazz guitar (Humber College) and is fully equipped to play and teach all genres of music. Andrew has played guitar for 40 years and has taught at Long & McQuade for over 25 years. His years of professional playing have given him a wealth of knowledge, which he continues to pass on to his long list of students. He makes sure his students have a great deal of input into their own lesson and tailors each student’s lesson with the individual in mind. Many of Andrew’s students have gone on to become teachers as well. Ranging from beginner to advanced, Andrew teaches many guitar styles such as acoustic fingerstyle, rock, jazz, and many advanced lead guitar techniques.
His rate is $26 per half hour.

Chris has been balancing a music career of performance and teaching for more than 40 years. Starting at a young age, his piano studies included Royal Conservatory, alongside pop and jazz. He went on to study with numerous jazz piano instructors in Toronto, and graduated from the Humber College music program. He also studied accordion for 10 years. In teaching piano (and accordion) Chris maintains a focus on developing well rounded students, incorporating many musical styles, including improvisation. He is comfortable with all levels and all ages, and can assist students preparing for college or university music programs. Chris is also experienced in teaching music theory, as well as working with ensembles.

Soprano Christine Brandt was born in Kitchener, Ontario. She played the piano for 12 years before she began her studies in vocal performance at Wilfrid Laurier University in Waterloo, ON. While there she sang with the Maureen Forrester women’s choir where she had numerous opportunities for solo work. She received her Bachelor of Music in 2016 with a minor in psychology and has recently completed her Master's Degree at Mannes School of Music in New York City. Christine enjoys sharing her passion for music with others through teaching piano and voice lessons. She has worked with younger children to spark their interest in music through a music starters program. She has also worked with children’s choirs in her hometown of Kitchener.

Daniel is a woodwinds instructor and a graduate of the Etobicoke School of the Arts (music major). Dan is a regular performer and has played at many events including the Kitchener Blues Festival. He has recorded with bands like, "Milky Whites" and "The Bluesmen", as well as with his current band, "Fog Blues and Brass Band". Dan also has a background studying with the Royal Conservatory of Music. Dan has studied with multiple saxophonists, flutists and clarinetist privately in the past.

Hannah has been a private voice and piano instructor for 3 years at various studios, and has completed her BMus degree at Wilfrid Laurier University for Community Music in Voice with a minor in education. Hannah's experience lies in private instruction, however she also has experience as a Primary Music Teacher and Kindergarten Teacher, and teaching various group classes centering on child development and early childhood education. Her specializations within teaching include musical theatre and various forms of commercial contemporary music (pop, rock, R&B, etc), which she has also held workshops and intensive classes in these areas. Hannah believes that planting the seed of love for music is one of the most important steps in a student's life, and is the mantra she lives by.

Jacquelyn Redmond is a violinist hailing from Newfoundland. Ms. Redmond holds a Bachelor of Music in Violin and Composition (2018) and a Master of Music in Violin Performance and Pedagogy (2022) from Memorial University (MUN). She is currently pursuing a Chamber Music Diploma (2023) under the guidance of Dr. Jeremy Bell and subsequently, the Penderecki Quartet at Wilfred Laurier University (Waterloo). As a teacher, Jacquelyn strives to ensure each student is achieving their individual musical goals. Jacquelyn draws from RCM, Suzuki, Galamian and Violinkids method/methodbooks along with mainstream musical options of the student’s choice in order to offer a well-rounded musical experience.

Steve McRae has been an active member of the Hamilton Music Scene since 2004. He was musical director for several productions in the city including Sunset Boulevard, Gypsy, Side Show, Nine, The Little Mermaid and The Addams Family. Since graduating with Honours from Mohawk College, McMaster University and the Royal Conservatory of Music, Steve has been in demand as a teacher, performer, accompanist, church musician and adjudicator in the Hamilton area.

Vic has been playing drums since the age of 11 and has recorded and performed various styles of music. His studied at the Drummer’s Collective in New York and attended the Percussion Fest at Berkeley College in Boston. Vic has a passion for percussion and enjoys teaching students of all ages, styles, and abilities. He gears his lessons on an individual basis with strong emphasis on timing and structure. Vic teaches drums, bongos, congas, djembes and other percussion instruments.
