This amp checks all of the boxes! The versatility, of this amp, lends to the ease of dialing in the right tones. From clean to dirty to crunch, I feel this unit does it the best. Price is a bit hefty but, definitely worth it. Shout-out to Paul H.for fixing me up with this fantastic amplifier!

It's just perfect in every way. The most versatile amp you could buy. Setting it up and perfecting your tone is an experience all of it's own as you finally have everything to fine tune your sound. They should have badged these with a crown because this is the king of amps only to be succeeded by its next incarnation.

Great amp pickups are really important bringing out the tone it works well with emgs. I have a guitar with hs 3 dimarzios and it sounds great too. Another guitar has Duncan hotrails and it works great too. This is an amp you grow with. I pretty well run on the mark iv setting all the time. There is an extreme mode and I don't see much difference from the mark iv setting. I am happy knowing that as my playing evolves this amp can deliver. Very expensive but be reassured having been built in America this amp delivers. What cost your dream. I literally walked into long and mcquades and bought this. For my taste I wish that I could have the mid range on the eq have more sizzle but If you keep the mids scooped my tone lyes there. Folks be very careful with what you go with. I still can't believe I have this beast.

After I bought my first Mesa/Boogie many years ago and had to untimely part with it, a part of me died inside! Now having reconnected with these beautiful amps once again, I could not be happier! So many modes/sounds/options to play with you will never need another amp. There are too many things that I would love to share with you. So this is all I will say. MK2 C+ CIRCUIT!!!! This is the reason I bought this beast, and I ended up with more than I dreamed!! Crank it up...way up!

This amp.. What can I say about it. I own the head version and I'm very happy I do. This amp can deliver everything, I won't even bother listing styles or artists this thing can nail because it can do it all. Between 3 channels each with 3 modes, 3 wattage settings and a tube setting on 45W for channels 1 and 2, there is a setting for everything. Plus the ability to swap power tubes is great. The build quality is amazing, every jack, switch and knob feels sturdy. It'll take abuse real well too - I've left it on for hours and hours on end with no issues. There's been times I've turned it on without having my cab plugged in and she still just chugs away (not that I would recommend that at all). All in all, this amp is worth the money. It is a little on the pricier side, but for what you get it's totally worth it.

great amp-not for every one though.it takes some time to dial in your sound.it has cascading gain stages.this is not like a marshall, where you can set the cookie cutter tone in a few minutes.this amp is more about articulation and if you want to create your own tone.it has alot of options and features...it can do it all from super clean jazz to just breaking blues to classic rock to metal.it is built very well and mesa have a great warranty and amazing customer service.i use a 2x12 mesa recto cab with vintage 30s .i aslo have a delay chorus and an overdrive.yes-channel two takes an overdrive so well,it became part of my setup for my main tone.when your dialing in a mesa it has to be done very carefully, just a small movement of say the bass or treble knob can change things alot. when i first started using it i thought wtf? i am not happy.but i spent some time with it and now i couldn't play without it...it is a true tone machine. I play in a covers band and need to recreate a large pallaet of tones and this amp can do that very well.they are not cheap...but you get what you pay for...if you want a pro amp from any real amp company expect to pay 3-4k...its just that simple.tone cost money! even a high end marshll like the JVM 410h is gonna cost near what a mark five will run you. good luck!

It was more than I wanted to spend but worth every penny. It takes some effort to dial in but it sounds amazing when setup. To really appreciate it, it needs to be tested with a band as it cuts through incredibly well and is very articulate. The sound is so good that I no longer use pedals, just plug straight in. It is hooked up with a with a 4x12 H&K cab with Celestion Greenbacks. I also have the cabclone.

I bought this head and I'm so pleased i can't believe it. Channel 1 is crystal clear, channel 2 is your Izzy Stradlin and if your a metal guy channel 3 is all you will ever need, tons and tons of tone options leaves your sound limitless. Save your pennies if you can't afford this now, well worth the wait and the price. I have found what i was looking for,thank-you.....MESA!!!!!!!!!

After playing for the past 15 years or more I have owned and played many amps both tube amps and solid state or digital. (Dont start me on those! lol) Anyway, I love my mark V. I paired it with a 2x12 rectifier cab and couldn't be happier. I am looking now to purchase a Mesa boogie lonestar for the EL84 tube setup. Its hard buting amps these days because most big manufactures are having them built over seas. Not Mesa! one of the small things that makes me feel even better. Mesa all the way!! m/ rock on!

The MKII C+ mode is dead on. I tried it and having owned a MKII C+ head is amazing. If you love M.O.P forward Metallica and any Dream Theater tones, this amp is it. I may have to sell my street bike to buy this amp.

Performance Warranty Banner

Protect your investment with the Long & McQuade Performance Warranty

A warranty can be a very important factor when making a buying decision. Because repairs can be very expensive in terms of parts and labour costs, manufacturers usually only provide one year limited warranties that generally only cover items that malfunction due to a manufacturer’s defect. With an important purchase such as a musical
instrument or piece of studio gear, however, many people want to have the peace of mind in knowing that their investment will be protected should the product no longer be performing at 100%.

Because of this, Long & McQuade provides our customers with a FREE one-year Performance Warranty on most of our products. The Long & McQuade Performance Warranty supplements the manufacturer’s warranty to ensure that our customers receive complete “no hassle” warranty coverage within their first year.

How does the Long & McQuade Performance Warranty differ from most manufacturers' warranties?
  • Performance Guarantee: Normal wear and tear is covered, so your product will be performing as well as the day you purchased it for the entire duration of the coverage. Band and Orchestral Performance Warranty does not include replacing pads or cleaning for woodwind instruments, unless deemed necessary by our repair staff. Ultrasonic cleaning for brass instruments will be provided if deemed necessary by our repair staff, but is not routinely offered under the Performance Warranty.
  • Product Replacement: If your product cannot be fixed or costs too much to fix, we will replace it with the equivalent model for no additional charge. If this is not possible, a full refund will be provided.
  • No Lemon Policy: Your product will be replaced should the same problem occur multiple times.
  • Convenient: Easy drop off and pick up of the product at any Long & McQuade location.
  • Guitar Setup: Guitars purchased at Long & McQuade come with 1 free setup, to be redeemed within 1 year for new guitars and 90 days for used guitars.
  • Loaners Available: A loaner product may be given while the product is being repaired.
  • Power Surge Protection: Your product is covered even if damaged from a power surge.
  • Accessory Coverage: Any peripheral devices or accessories that come with your product (i.e. foot pedal, case) are also covered.
  • Commercial Use Coverage: Music and recording professionals who purchase gear for “heavy-use” commercial purposes will still be covered.

Long & McQuade reserves the right to restrict the purchase of additional years of Performance Warranty. Used products come with a 3-month Long & McQuade Performance Warranty. Some products (i.e. computers, software, cymbals and other items) are covered only by the manufacturer‘s warranty. Consumables (i.e. strings, reeds, drum sticks, batteries, tubes, cross faders) are excluded as they are designed to be replaced. Cosmetic Damage, Accidental Damage, or problems caused by Humidity or Temperature Issues are not covered. Speakers damaged by overpowering are generally not covered. Our coverage does not provide compensation for loss of use. As of June 2018 the Performance Warranty is no longer transferable. The warranty is only valid in Canada.

Purchasing additional years of coverage

Some manufacturers provide warranties for longer than 1 year; however, these are usually limited warranties that do not provide the same coverage as the Long & McQuade Performance Warranty. Customers interested in more complete and convenient (but not necessarily longer) coverage are still able to purchase additional years of the Performance Warranty.

If you are interested in receiving this coverage for longer than one year, you have the option of purchasing additional years of the Performance Warranty. The pricing is as follows:

  • NEW products: 4% of the current new selling price to double the warranty from 1 year to 2 years. 4% for each additional year.
  • USED products: 4% of the current new selling price to increase the warranty from 3 months to 1 year. 4% for each additional year.
  • GUITARS: 4% of the current new selling price to double the warranty from 1 year to 2 years. 4% for each additional year. $45 maximum. An additional free setup is not included with additional purchased years of Performance Warranty.
  • BAND and ORCHESTRAL instruments: 4% of the current new selling price to double the warranty from 1 year to 2 years. 4% for each additional year.
