It does everything i want it to. It has a presence like no other snare that i have used. Full and punchy in low tunings, great mid range cut a la Steve's sound and poppy/RnB in high tunings. Place a G2 coated for even more pop or a Power cent.rev.dot for that thuddy low n mid range feel and sound. Just tops. Posted by anonymous on Apr 25, 2012

A top knotch snare drum from Yamaha. It blends great in hard rock, pop and r-n-b. In low tunings just punchy and full and in the high ranges, sharp edgy crack and pop with a Coated G2. Great Snare. Posted by Brant Parsons on Nov 22, 2011
