the fit and finish of the kit is great, i have the natural finish, looks great. i play in the basement and wanted a warm neutral type tone. i can play this kit without the neighbourhood's windows rattling, and the sound is awesome. but if i want i can kick it up and rattle the windows, i can. my previous entry priced kit was loud, this seems to be the way with a entry type kits, and i did'nt like the tone, sounded cheap. if your getting into drumming buy a kit like this. spending a little extra on a kit like this , will save you money in the long run, on a up grade. i replaced the batter heads right away, the drum sales guy pointed out what he thought, would work best for me. i'll try different ones down the road when these batters wear out. i really like the centre tom holder as it has a center boom holder that i put my splash cymbal on. awesome kit, think i'll go and bash and smash on it for awhile..
