the features all work great. the sound quality is excellent. Fantastic amp. If I were to buy again I'd get the Mustang 3. it appears to have similar features but it is cheaper. odds are unless you have forgiving nieghbours/roomates you won't get to use it to it's full potential. I had this amp for 6 months and this amp actually sounds great, you can modify the settings on the way you want, like Marshall amp like or other stuff. I just love this amp, I can do whatever I want on the settings. For a cheap price you can get it all.I really recommend this amp. Posted by Michael on Jul 9, 2012

The amp modelling is great. Very good value for the price, and Fender's service is absolutely first-rate (my young son accidently damaged the USB plug-in on the first Mustang II amp I bought, and Fender replaced the entire amp free of charge). On the Mustang IV, the master volume control kicks in a bit suddenly, so it doesn't provide as much control at very low volume levels as I'd like. Overall, the tone tends to be a little harsh. I've never owned a tube amp, but would ideally like a warmer, fatter sound. I use a pedal board with effects pedals to augment the on-board amp modelling, which helps, but I can't seem to completely escape the harsher edge to the tone. I may opt for a tube amp next time I'm in the market to try to get a warmer tone, but in the meantime, this one does me pretty well, and for the money, it's fantastic value. Truelly. I don't know where to begin. This amp is amazing. Got it yesterday and there is so much you can do with it. Like the other reviews there are tons of different tones you can get. I have owned Tremolux , Bandmaster ,Showman, Twin since 1969 . I also in a week moment had a Marshall 265 combo . This Mustang does it all and then some .The sounds from this amp and the power it has are truly amazing . The best besides all the features is that it only weighs 47 pounds.
