I replaced an older Fender acoustic bass for this one. I was immediately impressed with the sound on it. The pick up does a great job at providing a deep rich tone that is very specific to acoustic basses. Mine had to be ordered in so it came directly from Ibanez and yet I had to polish the frets as they were dull on arrival. Once I gave the bass a thorough clean-up I found the overall quality to be very respectable, no regrets whatsoever on choosing this model to buy. As with any acoustic bass I have tried, unplugged the volume is only sufficient for your personal enjoyment while you practice. I found this one as loud as others but if you will be playing around a piano or an acoustic guitar you will still have to plug in to be heard. You will get a ``true`` bass sound from this acoustic bass that my electrics (which i prefer for the feel) are not able to create. Posted by anonymous on Mar 25, 2013
