| This is a well made case as are all of the Yorkville cases. I have several of them. It fits my new SJ-200 like a glove. Has a lock, storage compartment, and lots of plushiness on the interior.
However, there is a nauseating chemical smell which emanates from the inside of the case which is most likely the glue used to attach the padding. I drive truck and took this case and new guitar with me the day I bought it, and having this case with me for four days in the truck made me physically ill. The smell actually permeated into the wood of the guitar after only a few hours in the case. The smell was so bad I could not play the guitar for about 24 hours after removing it from the case.
I will be returning this case the first chance I get to see if they have another one that is not permeated with this terrible chemical smell.
It is possible the smell would dissipate over time by leaving the case open, but in the meantime... Posted by anonymous on Jul 20, 2010 | |||
