| I searched for a guitar for a while before buying this one and I will only buy a guitar that I play and this AC1R blew my socks off the first minute I saw and touched it. The finish is excellent right up close and the guitar feels light in weight but firm, crisp and substantial. The neck is an absolute joy. It is as wide as I would expect but the depth is thinner than most and stays the same all the way up to the body. The edges of the fingerboard are rounded so the guitar sits so very comfortable in your hand. The back of the neck is almost bare wood with no feeling of lacquer or varnish and so your hand slides along so much easier than most guitars. I can now wrap my hand right around the neck all the way to the top. I feel like I can play chords on this guitar along the full length of the fretboard faster and more precisely than any other guitar I have ever played.
The tone is very rich clear and satisfying except for the bottom E is not as deep as many dreadnoughts but this a slightly smaller guitar and its VERY LOUD, which I guess is because of the high quality tone-woods. Mine is solid spruce and laminated rosewood.
This guitar makes me feel like a better player and I have only owned it 3 days. It must be tens all the way. Posted by anonymous on Feb 13, 2012 | |||
