If you're thinking of getting into an active 5 string bass, this is the axe to choose. It has an active 3 band EQ for lots of tonal variations and a slap switch for slap and pop techniques. I play RnB and it has a fat round low end. However, with the tonal range of the EQ and the Pickup blends you can dial in any tone you like. When I was looking for bass guitars, I tried out many basses and none of them measured up to this amazing beauty. Its tonal ability is out of this world, one volume knob, tone knob, and some other knobs that change the sound in different ways lol. and a switch to change which pickup is selected. incredible. if you are hesitating to buy this guitar because of its looks, you have to see it in real life, i find it looks horrible in the pictures, but really the sunburst is beautiful. please, do yourself a favour and buy this bass. it is one of the best basses out there, and its extremely affordable.
