| I own this product and I must say it is a great investment for the serious engineer or musician that wants high quality sound. I upgraded from a digi 002 rack to the ensemble a year ago and it is truly a night and day reflection. I recommend the Ensemble to anyone needing multiple i/o, if you only need 1 or two i/o just invest in the duet 2, it has a higher quality sound and conversion than the Ensemble.
here are some pluses about the ensemble
- the converters are absolutely great
- the preamps are super clean and clear- lots of headroom
- the interface is built well
- the sound quality is great
here are some negatives to the ensemble
- there is a bit of noise that comes from the ensemble(you have to adjust your monitors so there is no audible noise coming from your monitors)
-there are only 4 mic preamps( if miking drums you will need separate mic pres if you are recording more than 4 mikes
hope that helps!
I am currently trading in my Ensemble for a Symphony i/o next week. i will do a review on the Symphony i/o soon. Posted by Terry aka Griploc on Sep 10, 2011 | |||
