| I bought these in place of the YSM2's by Yorkville. They present more reality and I went and bought the 10" Sub so I had it on hand depending on what I was working on. For the dough these kick major ass! Posted by Dave on Mar 30, 2012 | |||

| I compared the M-Audio BX8s against the Mackie HR824mkII and the KRK Rokit RP8-G2. The BXs had harsh distorted highs and absent mids. The KRKs were nice and smooth and revealing. I'd still have bought the KRKs even if I'd had the money for the Mackies. The Mackies sound great (as you'd expect at that price) but aren't as revealing as the KRKs - the highs were a bit hyped and it was hard to differentiate the air from the brightness. Some people turn up the HF control and I did during the listening test but since I got them home I've kept them flat. Posted by Mike on Sep 4, 2009 | |||
