Braden Varcoe is a graduate of the Mohawk College Applied Music program. He has been teaching guitar and theory to students of all ages and skill levels since 2013. Braden has been heavily involved with the theater community in Hamilton as well, including working in such capacities as Music Director for the original Broadway cast of Smokey Joe's Cafe at Hamilton Place. You can currently find him performing a variety of Blues and Soul music with The Braden Varcoe Band.

Buddy is a graduate of the Berklee College of Music. He has played with the Berklee & MIT Symphonic Orchestras, as a guest artist with Dizzy Gillespie, as well as many others. Buddy is a studio musician, recording radio/T.V. commercials and works with production companies and artists as a writer. He has lead various jazz groups for 4 decades and produced 4 albums of his own. Buddy has prepared many students for acceptance into various music programs at universities and colleges.

Dan is an experienced orchestral trombonist and tubist who is thrilled to re-enter the teaching profession! He has many years experience as a pit and orchestral musician achieved after obtaining his Master's in trombone performance and pedagogy from the University of Western Ontario. Daniel studied Guitar at Wilfred Laurier University, and has been teaching in the Hamilton area since the mid 1990’s. Dylan helps students of all ages and skill levels play their favorite music on trumpet, including video game music, pop songs, and more, while building the foundation needed to succeed in school and beyond.
Dylan is a Burlington Teen Tour Band alumnus, serving as section leader, soloist, and fanfare trumpet performer during his 5 years with the band. He is a graduate from Western University with a Bachelor of Music. When not teaching, he works as a brass clinician and video game composer.

Julia Jacklein has been teaching piano for 20 years and holds an MA in Music Composition, a BIS in Piano Pedagogy, and an ARCT in Piano Performance.
She is experienced with traditional and alternative teaching methods, and has a particular interest in teaching children that require special learning support, e.g. students on the autism spectrum. Some of her students enjoy interdisciplinary studies (combining music with visual art or improv) while others pursue the Royal Conservatory curriculum or an individualized program of study.
Julia is professionally active in the community as a music composer and visual artist. She is fluently bilingual (English/German), and speaks French and Spanish at an advanced level. Please inquire if interested in lessons in a language other than English.

Karen is a registered music teacher with both the Royal Conservatory of Music and the Ontario Registered Music Teachers Association with a special certification in teaching the early childhood level. Nancy Olfert is an accomplished musician and music educator. For over 40 years she has been teaching piano, theory, and voice as well as performing professionally as an accompanist, singer, and choral conductor. She holds an ARCT in piano performance, an RCM Grade 10 in voice, a Bachelor of Education with music qualifications for Primary, Junior, Intermediate, and Senior levels. Nancy recently retired from full-time vocal music teaching in the classroom and is returning to her first love – teaching private lessons.

Natalie has been a teacher of piano and theory for thirty years, both here and in the UK. She graduated from McMaster University (Bachelor's in history and theory), Western University (Master's in theory), and the University of Surrey, England (MPhil in musicology research). Natalie also has her ARCT and LTCL diplomas for piano performance. She loves to teach and perform and is an experienced accompanist and chamber musician. Ryan has taught the drums since 1994 and is a graduate of Applied Music at Mohawk College. He has played for artists such as Derek St.Holmes (Ted Nugent), Richie Cannata (Billy Joel) and many more. Victor Agrippa is an alumni from Humber College, specializing in playing and teaching woodwind instruments (Saxophone, flute and clarinet). He has been playing and studying music for 12 years, under the tutelage of many seasoned professionals around the GTA. Throughout his musical career Victor has played a variety of styles of music in numerous bands. From being part of a symphony orchestra, a big band, various Brazilian ensembles and numerous smaller ensembles, the diversity in playing experience has only been a benefit to his teaching ability.

Lakeside Wind Ensemble is a community brass and woodwind group that plays a variety of music, run by Lizuarte De Sousa. We accept flutes, clarinets, oboe, alto, tenor & baritone saxophones; trumpets, trombones, French horns, baritones, euphoniums, and tubas with at least 2+ years experience. The season runs from September through June. Rehearsals are Tuesday nights from 7-9 PM.
BUMBLEBEE ORCHESTRA - Rosemary Hale

The Bumblebee Orchestra is an educational ensemble that provides instruction to string players
that are reading and playing at the Grade 2 Suzuki or RCM Level. Students must be able to read music at a beginner level. For ages 7 - 14. Current session, 2023 from 5:00-6:30.

Garden City Orchestra rehearses weekly throughout the year. We have two big concerts a year. One in December and one in June. We go out to senior homes and we take part in music festivals. Garden City Orchestra began in 2015 and we have been growing ever since. We enjoy learning and performing pieces from all the great composers from the past and present.
We invite guest musicians to our performances to make it extra special.
Students should be reading at or above a Grade 3 Suzuki or RCM Level. Rehearsals are Thursday nights from 7-9 PM
