Is your acoustic guitar playing as good as it should? Have you got buzzing frets, finger-killing high action, or out of tune notes? Join us for Justin Furgason’s acoustic guitar maintenance workshop to learn all about the acoustic guitar. From how it generates sound, to every adjustment you can make, care and maintenance, and knowing when you should hand it over to a professional to fine tune it, we’ll cover it all! We’ll also talk about humidity and proper storage, travelling with your guitar, and much more.

Play Along with Nigel “MaynStreet” Maynard

Nigel “MaynStreet” Maynard gives us a guide to learning different styles of drumming, playing to tracks, understanding what to listen for while playing, and drum set positioning. He will also speak about warm up exercises, and the concept of time versus pocket. Nigel Maynard has been a drummer for over 20 years, originally being grounded in funk, gospel, and reggae.

Roots musician Jacob Moon has played for RUSH, Marillion, and Gordon Lightfoot during his 20 years on the road. Join us as he shares his proven strategies for being an effective live looper, and demonstrates how students can unlock their own creativity using the BOSS RC 300 and other popular looping pedals. Jacob’s performance will include original songs and covers orchestrated with a combination of musical taste and technical wizardry.
