Silent Stands the Elm is a gorgeous piece of music that was inspired by a single Elm tree which survived the bombing of the Murrah building in Oklahoma City. Today, this tree stands and lives across the street from where this tragedy took place. The piece begins and ends with a chime solo, representing the time of the explosion and the two gate monuments that stand on the site today.
