After shopping digital pianos for about one year, I chose this one because of the excellent touch in the price range. I took a bit of a gamble and bought it from Kijiji for $900, including a Hercules stand, but it works perfectly. Using high quality Sennheiser heaphones, piano #1 sounds incredibly like a grand piano, it truly is exceptional. Even the speakers are not bad, although I would run it through upgraded speakers if I wanted to fill a room. As noted, I tried many in and around the same price, but this one was superior. To get a ' better ' one, you would have to double the cost. The Roland FP - 7F really impressed me, and if I stick to those Hanon exercises and get all the major and minor scales back up to snuff, maybe in a year or so I'll treat myself to the Roland. But there's sure no rush.

I wanted a digital piano that both felt and sounded as close to a grand without forking out thousands. Got mine for $999. The 4 layer sampling only applies to the first grand piano sound, but does it ever sound good. The built in speakers are pretty good, but to truly hear the amazing sampling done it has to run through an external sound system. Very expressive and natural sounding, even more so if you upgrade to the FC3 pedal from the included FC4. Not many options, only 2 grand piano, 2 electric, church, jazz and 11 other synths/strings; I typically only use grand #1. Ideally for serious acoustic players, who want an authentic sound. Feels absolutely amazing to play. Higher octaves are a little more "stiff" to press than usual, but its subtle and you hardly notice it even when trilling or doing scale runs. I have owned it for over a year, used it everyday and sometimes for hours on end. With the right sound system and upgraded FC3 pedal, this piano offers an amazing sound transforming every note into a rewarding experience. Highly recommended.
