My name is Adrian Blaney lead guitarist of Tracenine, based out of Cambridge Ont. Gig from Europe to USA . I love my Boss RV-5 I use it in the effects loop of my Mesa Boogie Dual Rectifier along with a Boss DD-3 but my main effect if my Boss RV-5 , its on about 95% of the time I like that Van Halen wet Reverb/delay tone from the 1st VH album for solos only , this pedal is reliable easy to use as all Boss pedals are plain simple. I’d buy another one if it got stolen , but they’d have to run with my amp and it weighs freaken ton in a road case. It’s all bolted together. Buying this pedal was worth it all just for the modulation setting

I first heard about this pedal and wondered what the hype about it was. I tried it out in a store and the modulation setting sold it for me. It sounds amazing. You want the eric johnson dreamy feel to chording triads, this is your pedal. I've heard the other reverb features are pretty digital sounding, but since this is a stombox personally I like to have a pedal set to my favourite setting and have it ready to go without changing it for another feature on the fly. I have another reverb pedal for general spring and this one set to modulation for when I want the ambient feel. The sound quality is great and the stereo capability makes it even better. Try running this puppy through stereo and on modulation and you'll see what I mean. It was a challenge to me to get this or the strymon blue sky, but with this price it was worth it. All I can say is it's a great price for a great pedal for the modulation setting and stereo. Posted by John on Jan 11, 2013
