I used to have a cheaper drum kit, and I tried my best to select the better choice of head, to bring out the natural sound of the drums, and to reduce ring. I tried many heads, but the ones I liked the most, were the Aquarian texture coated heads. I had one on my snare, and it just amazed me. It was easy to tune, and gave the sound I was looking for in my snare. If I were you, I'd defiantly consider putting one of these on your snare, even with my new expensive kit, I still use Aquarian texture coated heads on them. Posted by anonymous on Jun 28, 2012
