Professional snare mics have three prime requirements:
they must have accurate response, pinpoint directionality to screen out the hi-hat, etc. and they must be small enough to be out of the way, yet rugged enough to take a few misplaced rim shots. The Apex326 fills those requirements and clamps securely to the rim for better source focus.
