Introduced by Gibson in 1993 the Nighthawk's dare-to-be-different looks are mirrored in this Epiphone version The Nighthawk's beauty is far more than skin deep. Under the hood this guitar is loaded for versatility and performance. The unique Nighthawk pickup package of a bridge humbucker, a single-coil in the middle, and a mini-humbucker in the neck yield a mind-boggling array of tones through a five-way switch and push-pull coil taps, allowing you to access anything from classic fat, creamy Les Paul tones to spikier single-coil-style jangle and chime. The unique through-body Nighthawk bridge provides outstanding sustain and resonance, while the guitar's 25-1/2" scale length adds extra shimmer and sparkle to the brew, and gives you a firm low-E string for gnarly low-down blues runs and biting twang.

Excellent player with great looks. Stock pups are decent sounding. Well manufactured with no bleed in the finish. Full binding including the fingerboard. Crown inlays. Solid feeling electronics. No noise at high gain. Versatile tone including strat sounding single coil and SG sounding bucker tone. Excellent sustain and sympathetic harmonic resonance with set-thru neck and ferrule loaded thru-body bridge. Definately worth a trip to tire kick this one - and bring 4 bones, 'cuz you're likely to bite. I did. Love it. Actually like it better than the original '93s. Mine had a flaw and it buzzed

I was anxious to get my new flameburst Nighthawk. It looked great at first glance but it had a flaw on the neck and it was obvious that it had been sanded down. It felt rough and odd to play with because of that. Also, the stings buzzed while I played open chords. I returned it and traded it in for an SG. Posted by Todd on Nov 16, 2012

this guitar is unbelievable right out of the box I was knocked out. I got the fireburst it has a perfect finish the crown inlays give it a style of its own. the tone of the pickups and multiple combinations possible with the 5 way switch and coil tap boggle the mind and just ring and chime. this is an extreemly versital guitar and a steal at $410 Posted by mark alfieri on Nov 3, 2012
