The Apex440 is a Class-A FET condenser USB microphone designed to direct connect to any USB 2.0 equipped computer or laptop. The 35mm gold sputtered/center-terminated wide diaphragm capsule delivers a full 20Hz to 20kHz frequency response, rivaling standard studio condenser microphones.

The Apex440 offers the added convenience of an internal 24bit / 96kHz digital conversion direct to the USB2.0 output, making it the ideal microphone for software based recording solutions or Podcasting. The Apex440 operates on both Windows and Mac platforms.

A -10dB pad switch allows miking of high SPL sources without overloading the mics electronics, and an 80Hz Low Frequency Roll-off filter can be engaged to reduce rumble and increase intelligibility in a mix.

Apex Control Software for USB Microphones
Apex Control Software is a free download for anyone wishing additional input level control for Apex USB equipped microphone running Windows.

This simple program solves input gain issues some users may experience with USB microphones when connected to a Windows based PC or laptop.

As an added bonus, Apex Control adds several useful features including a tunable low frequency roll-off, phase inversion switch; one touch mute button and one touch monitoring of the input source, comprehensive input metering and a master microphone gain control.

Apex Control also offers a quick one click access to all Windows Control Panel audio functions and delivers a simple plug and play direct input recording function for quick on-the-fly one track recording, and is ideal for interviews, ENG or capturing live off the floor stereo waves.

Apex Control is a simple, one click installation and works with the Apex181, Apex440 and stereo Apex188.
