All of the screw threads had to be re-bored to fit the screws that Apex sells separatly (m5 10-32 size). Poor quality in that regard but once done it's sturdy and looks like it will last. Another bad thing is it won't sit completely vertical without more modification. I just removed the rails and am using them by them selves now. Posted by anonymous on Nov 14, 2012

Before settling on this rack, I've used several gator plastic racks and some wooden racks. I found that a lot of the times they take up too much room so I decided to try the open rack. This particular model seemed reasonable with a nice low price tag. When I received and put my preamp and multi-effect unit in, the rack was rock solid and not flimsy at all.
