For over a decade, Rolands revolutionary V-Drums have lead the industry in expressive sound quality and incredible playability. With the introduction of the SuperNATURAL-powered TD-30KV V-Pro Series, the electronic drum set reaches a new pinnacle in drumming performance.

SuperNATURAL sounds with Behaviour Modeling, along with advanced sensing technology, provides a new level of expressive sound quality and playability, resulting in an instrument that reacts and responds to all the subtleties, nuances, and dynamics of a drummers technique. In addition, USB audio-playback functionality has been added to expand the performance palette.

TD-30 Drum Sound Module with SuperNATURAL Sounds

Powered by SuperNATURAL sounds and Behaviour Modeling, the TD-30KV offers superior sound quality and natural response. From rim shots, rolls, flams, even ghost notes on the snare to dramatic crash hits and sustained cymbal swells, every nuance is accurate and smooth. For spatial depth, a dedicated Ambience fader gives you immediate control over lush room ambience and overhead-microphone simulation.

New V-Pads with Advanced Rim Sensors

A new rim sensor has been specifically developed for the TD-30KVs mesh head pads in conjunction with the TD-30 Drum Sound Module to accurately detect dynamics and rim-shot depth. The PD-128S-BC is snare-stand mountable, while the tom pads can be dual-mounted for setup versatility.

Solid, Stylish Kick Pad

The KD-140-BC 14-inch V-Kick provides stable performance and accurate triggering with a natural, acoustic-like kick feel. Drummers will feel the difference the moment they sink their pedal into this top-of-the-line pad.

**Kick pedal not included**

V-Hi-Hat with Improved Motion Sensor for Natural Hi-Hat Response

The superior design of V-Hi-Hat has taken into account not only the shape of the hi-hat, but also the bounce of the stick and even the movement caused by playing, making it possible to play with the same feel as an acoustic hi-hat. The new VH-13-MG features an improved motion sensor and advanced triggering technology for natural response with smoother open-to-closed control. You can alter the closed tone by pressing harder on the pedal after its closed. You can also play foot splashes.

**Hi-hat stand not included**

New V-Cymbals with Natural Feel and Accurate Triggering

Rolands unique V-Cymbals provide a natural swing feel with accurate triggering and sensitivity across the entire cymbal surface. The new CY-14C-MG Crash and CY-15R-MG Ride are offered in an eye-catching metallic-gray surface to cosmetically match the TD-30KVs new V-Hi-Hat, V-Pads, and chrome-finished drum stand.

Flagship Drum Stand for Professional Stage Use

The MDS-25 chrome-finished drum rack not only looks great, it also provides rock-solid stability with its advanced weight-balanced design. The newly improved mounts for cymbals and toms provide a highly flexible setup. The rubber protective sleeve shields the cables from damage while the new clear-cabling system complements the overall design.

Custom Covering System for Changing Shell Colour

The new V-Pads and V-Kick feature a new exchangeable black-chrome colour shell wrap. The TD-30KVs V-Pad lugs are separated from the shell, which allows you to replace the shell wrap with the ease of replacing a drumhead.

I've played Roland products for years and years now and for good reason eg...Spd 11, Spd 20, .. The transition from playing an acoustic drum to playing a Roland product is almost seamless, making it quite simple for the layman to discover "Hybrid" drumming... Although, no pedal and no high hat stand included for this kit is just ignorant. You can buy a pretty nice used car for $8000.00... these drums are definitely sweet.. but come on... Really...?

At the store I usually go to, there's a bunch of V-drum kits set out with headphones and sticks and pedals all set up for testing by customers. Among them was the TD-30KV. I eventually got the chance to play it a bit and I was very surprised at how great it sounded, it felt, and overall how great it was. I'm saving up for it as I type this. Only a year to go.

Thankfully I got mine just before the "Canadian dollar price adjustment"...This kit is amazing---the majority of the stock presets are rubbish, but when you start programming your own kits the depth of the editing is revealed. -like someone else mentioned, if you can't find the sound you're looking for, you're not doing it right. The toms can be a little 'machine-gunny', but this can largely be remedied with some tweaking.

I've been eyeing this kit for the past 6mo. It's a great kit that has nearly no competition. It's for this reason Roland can ask this crazy price. I nearly bit... until Roland decided to just jack the price up to $1000 more!! Now I'm aiming to buy a Yamaha offering. The price is more reasonable. Yamaha released a few new variations using the old brain but Roland, nothing... I get it, they are trying to make a profit from all the R&D spent on the brain but the public expects certain amount of advancements if we are to pay that kind of money! Alesis is going to make a boatload in 2016 with the strike kit - cheapy Alesis but they're pushing the tech at least! If they bump up the quality, Roland and Yamaha will have much more to worry about than trying to pay off their old cpu r&d account.

Have owned the TDKVS-30 for over 2 years now and love it. Amazing for recording. Never goes out of tune.... Needs more memory and the HH isn't as sensitive as it could be....neither am I though....

I have been playing the TDK - 20 for years and have recently upgraded. This kit is not for the weak of heart. The possibilities of this unit are endless. Roland has done some upgrading and fine tuning to make this perfect. I for one am glad that it does not come with HH stand and base pedal. I have my preferred brand which blows Roland's out of the water. The manual is as thick as a bible for a reason...there is lots to learn. The unit may not please everyone, but it is so versatile, you can make it do what you want. You have to justify spending 8K on the unit, depending on your level of skill. I have rattled windows 3 houses away, so the power, kick and punch are there. It just depends on the side equipment you have this puppy hooked up to. All in all, this is an amazing unit. Take the time to really get to know it, you will love it

An amazing kit for those who don't value money. Just cannot justify the $10k (extras and tax) expenditure. For a company that appears to have a stranglehold on the "quality" e-drum business Roland needs to give its head a shake.

I bought this for the kids to pound on in their toy room. They like it. It's silly that it didn't come as a full set. For the money I spent on it, that is. To then have to go and buy my 7 year old a $450 pedal, etc. so he can use it... seems a little silly that this stuff wasn't included. It's like a guitar coming without strings.

The features of this kit are unreal. The sound is outstanding. Fact is once a person learns to master the editing features it can't be beat. Anyone who can't get the desired sound out of this kit, where they want it, don't Know how to use it. I read mention of lack of punch but that falls on the mixers, monitors and PA's I know I can bounce the teeth out of peoples heads. I did score lower in quality and value because I have run into a couple issues that should not exist after spending 8K. I also think there should be a bit of price leniency due to the fragility of electronics. For the price it should have a full 5 year warrantee. Overall I am very impressed with the capabilities of this kit but I do not recommend it to anyone who can not make it pay for them, unless they have 8K of disposable cash that is. I don't mind having to purchase hardware such as kick, Hats, snare stand and throne as with a top of the line kit I also want my choice of top of the line hardware. My hardware cost me another 2K. Gotta say though. One huge disappointment is that Roland does not sell cases to fit their gear which leaves the buyer searching for Some manufacturer and custom building to protect this investment on the road. That my friends is ridiculously expensive...

This kit is deadly! Honestly, when you consider the versatility (and quality) of available drum set sounds & effects, it's a steal. A decent acoustic kit will set you back $4K and you've got 1 sound. THINK!!

Nice to play on (and with) but the $$$ is RIDICULOUS! $4.8k and $8k!!! What!?!?! Yes the drums sound great. No the cymbals do not! My band-mates hate the lack of on-stage oomph. Can they get used to it? Probably. Can I? Maybe. Regardless of ones budget, these are priced to the silly point. I'd love to have them for practice/rehearsal/recording, even with the cymbal compromises but $$$ remains incomprehensible and continues to put off the purchase. Why is it that regardless of the retailer the price is more or less the same? Where's the competition? When there is no interest in, or willingness to fight for the consumer's dollar, the consumer eventually declines to participate resulting in fewer sales, fewer retailers, even less competition and so on in the downward spiral. Somebody better loosen the reins because none of that is good for an already struggling music industry.

That they don't include the hi hat stand and kick pedal's at that price is absolutely horrible and Roland should be ashamed of themselves $7990.00 come on that is awful , for that price it should be totally complete!!!!!

Performance Warranty Banner

Protect your investment with the Long & McQuade Performance Warranty

A warranty can be a very important factor when making a buying decision. Because repairs can be very expensive in terms of parts and labour costs, manufacturers usually only provide one year limited warranties that generally only cover items that malfunction due to a manufacturer’s defect. With an important purchase such as a musical
instrument or piece of studio gear, however, many people want to have the peace of mind in knowing that their investment will be protected should the product no longer be performing at 100%.

Because of this, Long & McQuade provides our customers with a FREE one-year Performance Warranty on most of our products. The Long & McQuade Performance Warranty supplements the manufacturer’s warranty to ensure that our customers receive complete “no hassle” warranty coverage within their first year.

How does the Long & McQuade Performance Warranty differ from most manufacturers' warranties?
  • Performance Guarantee: Normal wear and tear is covered, so your product will be performing as well as the day you purchased it for the entire duration of the coverage. Band and Orchestral Performance Warranty does not include replacing pads or cleaning for woodwind instruments, unless deemed necessary by our repair staff. Ultrasonic cleaning for brass instruments will be provided if deemed necessary by our repair staff, but is not routinely offered under the Performance Warranty.
  • Product Replacement: If your product cannot be fixed or costs too much to fix, we will replace it with the equivalent model for no additional charge. If this is not possible, a full refund will be provided.
  • No Lemon Policy: Your product will be replaced should the same problem occur multiple times.
  • Convenient: Easy drop off and pick up of the product at any Long & McQuade location.
  • Guitar Setup: Guitars purchased at Long & McQuade come with 1 free setup, to be redeemed within 1 year for new guitars and 90 days for used guitars.
  • Loaners Available: A loaner product may be given while the product is being repaired.
  • Power Surge Protection: Your product is covered even if damaged from a power surge.
  • Accessory Coverage: Any peripheral devices or accessories that come with your product (i.e. foot pedal, case) are also covered.
  • Commercial Use Coverage: Music and recording professionals who purchase gear for “heavy-use” commercial purposes will still be covered.

Long & McQuade reserves the right to restrict the purchase of additional years of Performance Warranty. Used products come with a 3-month Long & McQuade Performance Warranty. Some products (i.e. computers, software, cymbals and other items) are covered only by the manufacturer‘s warranty. Consumables (i.e. strings, reeds, drum sticks, batteries, tubes, cross faders) are excluded as they are designed to be replaced. Cosmetic Damage, Accidental Damage, or problems caused by Humidity or Temperature Issues are not covered. Speakers damaged by overpowering are generally not covered. Our coverage does not provide compensation for loss of use. As of June 2018 the Performance Warranty is no longer transferable. The warranty is only valid in Canada.

Purchasing additional years of coverage

Some manufacturers provide warranties for longer than 1 year; however, these are usually limited warranties that do not provide the same coverage as the Long & McQuade Performance Warranty. Customers interested in more complete and convenient (but not necessarily longer) coverage are still able to purchase additional years of the Performance Warranty.

If you are interested in receiving this coverage for longer than one year, you have the option of purchasing additional years of the Performance Warranty. The pricing is as follows:

  • NEW products: 4% of the current new selling price to double the warranty from 1 year to 2 years. 4% for each additional year.
  • USED products: 4% of the current new selling price to increase the warranty from 3 months to 1 year. 4% for each additional year.
  • GUITARS: 4% of the current new selling price to double the warranty from 1 year to 2 years. 4% for each additional year. $45 maximum. An additional free setup is not included with additional purchased years of Performance Warranty.
  • BAND and ORCHESTRAL instruments: 4% of the current new selling price to double the warranty from 1 year to 2 years. 4% for each additional year.
