The Bose B2 bass module is a high-performance bass module designed for the Bose L1 Model 1S and Model II systems. It delivers the most low-frequency output for those L1 system users who require more powerful bass for larger audiences. It includes a rear-panel switch with three output settings, each of which is automatically sensed and equalized by the L1 system for optimized performance.

Wow! We have a L1 system and it had a B1 bass module that was ok but when I heard about the new B2 I had to check it out and was glad I did. This sub makes the L1 sound even more incredible. We have it set on the lowest setting for our acoustic guitar and voices and it still rocks. Great piece of equipment!

I bought this the day it came out to use with my 2 Bose L1 model II systems. I immediately ordered and bought a second. This easily outperforms 4 of the previous bass modules (the B1s). There is a 3 position switch that puts the module in normal, plus or minus mode. Bose states that minus is equal to 1 B1, normal is equal to 2 B1s and plus is equal to 4 B1s. They're understating how good these are. In normal mode it outperforms 4 B1s and in plus it blows the doors off 4. Finally these systems can deliver the chest thumping bass that have been just a bit out of reach with these systems. A single B1 is $315 so 4 are $1260 plus then you need a packlite at another $400 for a total of $1660. This will give you better bass and a bigger overall sound for $550. It's a no brainer.
