The Masterkey 49 USB MIDI controller keyboard opens the gate to computer music creation. Whatever your style of music, it delivers the control you need to unlock your creativity.

Express yourself on the 49 velocity sensitive keys, playing and recording in to any standard MIDI software program or the included Presonus Studio One Artist. The compact design fits perfectly on a computer desk and it's easy to move when not in use.

Real-time controls such as the four knobs and the fader can be used to control instrument or mix parameters, even while you play. Professional-style pitch bend and modulation wheels allow you to add further articulation. The 3-digit LED display provides navigational feedback so it's quick and easy to find the right menus for changing MIDI channels, sending out program changes, transposing or programming the real time controls. And if 49 keys are not enough, press the octave up and down buttons to shift the keyboard range up or down instantly.

Installation is straightforward, too. Simply plug Masterkey 49 into a USB port on your computer and the operating system will do the rest. Masterkey 49 is USB class-compliant, which means that no driver is needed for supported operating systems.

Masterkey 49 main features:
- 49 note, velocity sensitive, synth-style keyboard
- Pitch bend and modulation wheels (assignable)
- 1 assignable fader
- 4 assignable knobs for real time control
- 3-character red LED segment display
- 1 sustain foot switch input jack, type-sensing (foot switch not included)
- Quick-toggle between real-time functions Octave, Transpose, Program Change and MIDI Channel
- Advanced MIDI functions
- USB class-compliant. No driver needed
- Includes Presonus Studio One Artist

I bought this as a basic midi keyboard to replace an Axiom 25, which I loved, as I wanted a full-size keyboard but wanted to save some money. Big mistake. It felt really cheap out of the box, light and chintzy, made from cheap plastic, and with terrible action on the keys. USB cord was very loose in the socket from the beginning, and it stopped working after about 6 months. Do not buy this! Save up the extra $50 and get something that will last and that plays better. Terrible value even at its cheap price.

I love the product and even when it broke (the USB-B bridge snapped) the people who made the product sent me a replacement motherboard for free, even though it was 2 - 3 years old. I'll always go with this brand. The bonus that it comes with a free D.A.W (even though I use FL studio) is one amazing feature that you'll never find with other brands. For the keyboard itself I like the feel of touch with this, having 49 keys never limits me and I love how you can do the +1 or -1 octaves so you do have the full set.

This is a no frills MIDI keyboard. The action is nice, it works great. You can't beat it for the price. It's build decently too. I find the volume slide a tad wonky but it's not a complaint given the price. Overall value is high. It places really nicely for a electronic keyboard too. Very consistent, notes play when / where you expect them, etc. Pretty light keys

I've had this for a little over two years in a home studio environment. It is, IMO, miles better than what I had been using, which was an M-Audio 49-key controller. The keys, while not weighted (which is impossible in this price range) are very responsive, consistent, and feel amazing. The controls work fine. The keyboard has lasted very well, and shows no signs of failure. Great value, absolutely would recommend. If it was lost or stolen, I'd buy another one the next day.

Works great. Its perfect for anyone wanting to learn how to play or just wanting to benefit from having some keys in their studio. Ive only had it a day and only time will tell if its craftsmanship is good or bad. But as for a first impression i am very happy i purchased it.
