General:
AudioPro AP-Series power amplifiers are built to withstand the many rigors and demands of professional audio, whether in clubs, touring concert systems or in any type of installation up to and including the dynamic digital demands of theatre audio. And their performance is equally legendary. The culmination of Yorkville's forty-plus years of design and manufacturing experience, AudioPro power amplifiers are the ideal choice when high fidelity, low noise, ample power headroom and detailed clarity are essential.

About the AP6040:
High-output subwoofers require ample power on a continuous basis and even more in unclipped bursts for bass drum transients. One AP6040 can easily drive a pair of two-kilowatt, 4-Ohm, twin-eigthteen subs or up to four, one-kilowatt, 8-Ohm subs. As a result, touring, theatre or club subwoofer arrays can be powered by relatively few AP6040's saving cost and setup time. But it's the amplifier's high fidelity, low noise, power headroom and clarity combined with iron-horse reliability that keep the customers coming back for more.
Other useful items include a soft turn-on circuit to eliminate nuisance breaker-tripping on power-up; also sense/react features to protect against DC output as well as thermal overload and inappropriate load impedances and switch-selectable features, including a limiter to reduce clipping and a 40Hz, hi-pass filter to eliminate stage rumble. Dual, thermally triggered fans and efficient front-to-back heatsinking then help to ensure that things stay cool.
Optional accessory: #8383 replacement air filters.
