Description
Engineered for installations demanding exceptionally high fidelity and sound-pressure, the CU15 is among the most advanced, most versatile and efficient, high-powered compact enclosures available on the market today. The unparalleled clarity and precision of the patented Unity Summation Aperture conical horn, when combined with a high-performance 15-inch Neodymium woofer, delivers amazing intelligibility and performance unmatched by any competitive loudspeaker in this class.
The versatile CU15 enclosure design permits three deployment modes - flown singly, flown in acoustically coupled clusters and floor monitor (the Unity horn permits horizontal or vertical deployment with no horn re-alignment).
Construction material is 15 mm, 11-ply birch finished in a durable white paint, designed to be painted over as you desire. It also features a heavy-gauge, perforated metal grille to protect the components and multiple reinforced flypoints.
The CU15 comes with an advanced passive crossover for plug-and-play convenience, however it can be easily bi-amplified by way of a switch on the rear jack panel and the optional UP15 Unity processor, along with suitable amplifiers. The UP15 is designed specifically to optimize the CU15's sonic characteristics and to ensure trouble-free bi-amp operation, with or without a Unity or Elite series subwoofer for extended low frequency support.
Features:
* Ultra-clear reproduction and extremely high intelligibility.
* Unique 60 x 60 Unity horn assembly.
* Drivers mounted in a Unity horn measure and act like a single point source.
* No self-interference between individual loudspeaker components in a CU15.
* 15-inch, high power Neodymium woofer with three-inch voicecoil.
* 15 mm, 11-ply birch cabinet construction.
* Integrated Flypoints on all corners, plus pullback point, 17 in all.
* Speakon, binding post and 1/4 inch inputs.
* Optional flying hardware available (CU15FH)
* White paintable finish
