Yorkville Sound

This 2 x 15-inch + 2-inch, 1500 watt speaker proves that matched drivers do make a cabinet better. With Neodymium-based cast-frame woofers capable of delivering up to 132dB of sound-pressure with ample bass response, E2152s can stand alone in many applications. The design of this bi-ampable trapezoidal cabinet also incorporates a 2-inch high frequency driver which has exceptional upper frequency response yet provides highly efficient mid-range output as well. This is coupled to a Yorkville-designed 90 x 40 true conical radial horn composed of a rigid, non-resonant high-tech composite which virtually eliminates high frequency coloration. The horn and driver are back-set to optimize time alignment with the low frequency section.


The The E2152 also features Yorkville's innovative ATP horn protection scheme. Active Transistor Protection is their newly developed system which allows the horn compression driver to operate at levels significantly above those required for normal operation. Meanwhile a brickwall element of the circuit uses power transistors configured to operate linearly yet have the fast attack required to automatically protect against harmful power transients.

Along with ATP, the E2152's crossover electronics have been optomized to provide a firm acoustic bond between low and high frequency using phase correction filters. Additionally, the crossover provides a biamp selector switch for applications involving the EP2152 Processor and dual power amplifiers.

The E2152 is versatile. Integrated easy-access flypoints mean E2152s are ideal for installations while tilt-back wheels and a quartet bar handles facilitate touring applications. Used with the optional EP2152 processor and high-output subwoofers such as the LS801P or LS2100P, the E2152 promises to shake the walls while providing full, clear reproduction of any program from metal to Mozart .
