This is the band director's dream. The Jupiter 378 comes with a detachable mouthpipe, valve body and bell for easy cleaning and repair. It has a free blowing .661" bore that will not overly tax the younger player. The tighter wrap and compact size makes it ideal for smaller players. The instrument has a pretty decent tone but I would say has more of a use for a child than an adult as the size is more geared for a smaller player or someone that wants something to "gig" with. The horn does have a pretty nice tone but does not produce the same kind of full sound that a full size or larger horn would. Good idea for someone just starting. Posted by anonymous on May 30, 2012
