Owned for 8 ( eight!) years, flawless performance, barring one poor driver version released when M-Audio changed ownership. This is how devices should be built - simple, and rugged enough not to self-destruct like other cheap stuff. Put a nice preamp in front, and/or an external SPDIF converter, set it, forget it. MIDI very solid too.

I've been through four PC rebuilds and still have this same card. Rock solid ASIO drivers from WinXP home 32bit through to Win7 premium 64bit. Works great with Reason 2.5 - Reason 6 with 2ms response. Yes... 2ms. I've sustained at least one PCI port for every build just to ensure this card will work. It has maintained, at worst, a mathematical -96 dB noise floor (and no observable noise floor.. I've hit 120 dB in my home system with absolutely no distortion and no background noise during silent periods) for over 4 years of use... More than good enough for a home studio. The downsides? Not very many analogue inputs/outputs. Normal PCI only. Unexpected upside? Runs on a Hackintosh/Win7 dual boot! (partially.. and third party kexts required)

I compose/produce music for television, film and theatre, and this card is remarkable for this price range. I've used mine for the past four years, on three PC upgrades, and it still performs. The new 64 bit drivers for Win 7 are also solid. I use Sonar X1, along with very demanding orcestral VST's. The only downside is that it only has one MIDI in/out and it's PCI based (which is okay if you still have a PCI slot on a newer motherboard).
