| Plays better than 90% of the plastic recorders on the market and it is much easier to play the lower notes. The tone is better than anything made of plastic that I've heard so far. It does require a little breaking in as all wood instruments do, but it is well worth the wait. The maple is solid, and the drilling is superb. Being made of wood however, it does require a little care and maintenance the the plastic models don't.
