in 2008, I remember this light costing around 130-145 before taxes. That might seem like a bit of a rip, but remember, this was 2008 and the ADJ Microwash RGBW hasn't been invented at the time, nor allot of other great par fixtures. Uplighting was just in it's infant stages and these small pars were designed to just though out colour onto the artists or floor. If you're looking for a cheap way to do some uplighting, there are many other options that will do a much better job at a not too much higher price point. The colour mixing is weak at best. Dipswitches are good if you want to go for the most basic of colour mixes and the dmx positioning leaves allot to be desired. Overall, I gave this light a 4. The quality was pretty good but it's functionality is limited to simple splashing of colour or uplighting shallow areas. Posted by Shane Cashin on Apr 13, 2013

Pros: Solid metal construction, low heat, low power consumption, 15'-20' effective uplighting range. Small; great for mobile DJ's. Great built-in macros and quick strobe. Cons: Slight flicker in RGB mixing. standard DMX cables will hit yoke when light is pointing directly away from the base (I use 90 degree ends). Dipswitch DMX settings (not digital). Yellows and pastel shades are mediocre at best. No "dongle style" XLR or IEC power (like the MicroWash RGBW). Slight colour bleed aroud the edges of projected light (common on non-TriLED par cans). You can find this at other Canadian online retailers for as low as $63.99 (as of 2012-Apr-26). This price point makes this light a must-own. Your local L&M might price match.
