| Most strings don't last very long for me, I never break them but they just go dead in a very short time (a month or two of casual playing). Not Elixirs! Their tone is consistent from out of the package until I decide to replace them. I left one set on for over a year before I figured that was enough!
Nanowebs are much better for me, polywebs tend to shred the coating a bit (even nanos will do this if you use a sharp pick) and nanos just seem indistinguishable from normal strings.
