The Traynor DarkHorse 15H is destined to be an all-time classic. Twelve Watts of pure tube tone are Canadian-built into in a subcompact metal head. Simple Gain, Bass, Treble and Master controls allow easy access to the perfect amp sound onstage or in the studio while a 3-position Brit/USA/Pure switch provides even more tone-shaping. The Brit and USA settings are similar to those Traynor pioneered for their Custom Special series while the Pure setting bypasses the tone stack, delivering the most direct signal path possible between your fingers and the speaker. And even beyond that, there are two switch-selectable output stages - a higher headroom 12-Watt pentode stage and a 0.8-Watt triode stage for increased drive.

A combination of 8 and 16-ohm outputs allows the DarkHorse to drive virtually any classic guitar cabinet, but Traynor's DHX12 may be your best choice. It was specifically designed for the DarkHorse with a 12-inch, 16-Ohm Celestion Greenback and features an innovative open-back/closed-back tone gate.

Having played guitar since 1963 and owned many different amps, a couple of Traynors, couple of Epiphone, Garnet's, Roland, Fender, Marshall, I can testify that this little puppy can take anybody from beginner to professional and give you absolutely fantastic tone. Super clean to real down and dirty grunge like the big Marshall amps. Except it doesn't weigh 50lbs. Deep bottom end, super highs, its got you covered.
