Built for players that refuse to compromise their sound, the Traynor 1969 YGM-3 Reissue accurately captures the tone, warmth, feel and responsiveness of one of the classic guitar amplifiers of all time, and it is built right here in Canada using point-to-point hand-wired circuitry throughout, just like it was back then.

Vintage Parts & Original Amp Specifications:
Parts for the Traynor YGM-3 Re-issue were sourced from the original suppliers and built to the original design specifications wherever possible. The paper bobbin transformers were recreated for the YGM-3 by Hammond Canada, a source for Traynor parts since the 60s. Premium polypropylene capacitors, Switchcraft jacks and Accutronics reverb tanks are used today, just as they were in the 60s and 70s.

Vintage Tube Tremolo:
Harking back to the days when almost every guitar amp had some iteration of a tremolo effect, the YGM-3's distinctive footswitchable, amplitude bias tremolo can go from a swamp boogie to psychedelic with the turn of a knob, then dialed down for a truly unique and subtle jazz tone.

Legendary Jensen Alnico Magnet Speaker:
The Jensen P12Q produces the ultimate vintage guitar tone and is a truly premium speaker with a vintage magnet made of Aluminum, Nickel & Cobalt (Alnico) that gives the speaker its name. Designed to sound its best in a premium vintage tone-box like the YGM-3, the P12Q delivers warmth, character and a responsiveness ideal for that ultimate blues, jazz or classic rock sound, and recaptures much of the tone provided by the old Marsland twelve that Traynor dubbed number 7372.

Finishing Touches:
Traynor's original suppliers painstakingly recreated the unique silver/grey *grille cloth and the black vinyl covering used on the 1969 Guitar Mate. Even the "chicken-head" knobs are accurately recreated by another old-time supplier right down to their brass inserts. It is unlikely that any other reissue on the market can match this one for faithful dedication to its historic roots.
