Description

An updated version of possibly North America's #1 best-selling powered subwoofer the Elite LS800P, the LS801P features a cast-frame neodymium-based 18-inch low-frequency driver powered by a 1,500-Watt amplifier module with built-in limiting, all loaded into a compact bass-tuned horn enclosure. Result - a rugged, high-powered "earth mover" that packs out well and installs with ease.

Features also include balanced XLR and 1/4-inch TRS inputs with the 1/4" jacks able, at the push of a button, to handle either line-level or speaker-level signals (you can simply connect it to any full-range speaker for quick and easy setups). Connections include both XLRM and 1/4" Output Link jacks for interconnecting up to 10 LS801P's in larger concert systems. An additional XLR 'Mono Blend Input' allows the LS801P to function in a stereo system by blending the balanced L & R signals from a stereo mixer and creating a single in-phase mono signal.

The control panel features a +/- 12dB Level pot for matching the LS801P's output with the rest of the system, a tunable 90 to 150Hz HF Roll off pot to let you match the LS801P to any full-range enclosure without an electronic crossover, a unique Shape control that modifies the bass response, a Line/Speaker Input Level button and LED's to indicate Power, Limit and Clip.

Hardware includes four steel inset handles, a steel top-mounted pole-stand adapter, a heavy-gauge curved steel grill and tilt-back wheels.

I'v brought 2 of these about 3 years now. And played at big events with my ( BAND ) outside. And along with the Yourkvill 750p that i use for tops this is 1 killer system. The only thing is i wish that i had another set of Yourkvill 750p for tops. I;m a Dummer and love BIG BOOM SOUND and the LS801p has no problem giving it.

I bought one of these babies to go along and complement my pair of U15p mains, brought it home, and must say the system is grossly awesome. I can rattle the whole building just setting the sub at 1/3 its power, which is a problem cause the neighbors hate me. I need to make a party in a big party room and test its limits. See what this thing is capable of. BOOOM BOOOM BOOOM!!!

I love this sub. I had used the Yorkville 10" LS 200P before for my DJ gigs, and been very impressed. I went in to see my homies at the Port Coquitlam L&M recently, with the intention of finally buying the 200P. Just for fun I decided to demo the 801P. I was amazed. The one sub filled the whole store with quality, distortion-free bass. I would have no problem recommending everyone I know in the mobile DJ game to run out and pick one of these up. Pros: - thunderous bass - clean sound - great looking Cons: - heavy (I'm 255 lbs, and I struggle to lift it!) - confusing connections (manual says to take a balanced out from your passive speakers to the sub inputs... who has a balanced out from their passives?!) - expensive ($1500 plus tax stings, but I could imagine getting lots of years out of this sub)

The only feedback is that I only wish this sub went down lower then 45hz. Around 35 would be good. Currently I use one of these bins at Whitby's only Country/Dance Night Club.(Rodeo Saloon) I find using one is more then enough for a room that holds 250. I am using a DBX Driverack Pro+ to control my sound.
