General:
Yorkville's Coliseum Mini speaker series offers professional performance and features for the sound installation contractor or home audio, DIY enthusiast.
Black or white options are available on several models, also 70-Volt versions and there are two active, self-powered models. Basic installation hardware is included with most Coliseum Mini speakers along with built-in flypoints. As well, optional accessories include a rack mountable 70-Volt transformer - the LT-70V - that lets you convert any solid-state amplifier up to 300 Watts to power multiple, 70-Volt speakers. A wall-mountable, 70-Volt speaker volume control - the CV1 - is also available, as are two, 70-Volt PA amplifiers - the CA1 and CA1T - the latter containing an FM tuner.
C120, C120W, C120/70 & C120W/70
The Coliseum C120 is a water resistant speaker featuring specially treated drivers and a sculpted ABS plastic enclosure which together provide a high level of performance quality not normally found in such speakers.
Compact and versatile, the C120 is ideally suited for many applications, including commercial installations, home theatre, home stereo, mobile applications, reference monitor, personal stage monitor and can even be used outdoors.
C120 features include its bass reflex enclosure with a tuned port and an advanced 5", 100-Watt pgm woofer that provides bass performance superior to conventional speakers of this type. Removing the press-fit grille gives you access to the eyeball tweeter, which can be swiveled to suit various listening positions. Together they keep the C120's response accurate from 75 Hz to over 19 kHz.
The C120 is designed to allow a multitude of mounting options including a 'press-fit' microphone stand mount, integral, key hole screw-slots or the provided metal U-bracket which allows it to be angled up, down or sideways depending on the mounting orientation. The optional swivel mount (model C120MOUNT pictured below attached to the back of the C120W) allows the speaker to be attached to a ceiling or a wall and set at any number of angles. It includes a safety wire.
For maximum convenience in live or mobile applications, the C120 & C120W back plates feature push terminals and dual, 1/4" inputs.
Also available is the C120/70. Its integrated 70-Volt 'matching transformer' allows multiple C120/70's to be connected together and powered by a single, 70-Volt amplifier (eg Coliseum model CA1 or CA1T) without the usual load impedance restriction on the number of speakers. A 4-position rotary switch on the C120/70's back panel gives the user a choice of three speaker sensitivity (loudness) settings - 10W, 20W, 30W - or bypass which converts the speaker to 8-Ohm operation so that it may be used with a conventional amplifier.
The C120 and C120/70 are both available in black (C120 or C120/70) or white (C120W or C120W/70). Finishes are paintable.
