General:
Yorkville's Coliseum Mini speaker series offers professional performance and features for the sound installation contractor or home audio DIY enthusiast.
Black or white options are available on several models, also 70-Volt versions, and there are two active, self-powered models. Basic installation hardware is included with most models along with built-in flypoints. As well, optional accessories include a rack mountable 70-Volt transformer the LT-70V that lets you convert any solid-state amplifier up to 300 Watts to power multiple, 70-Volt speakers. A wall-mountable 70-Volt speaker volume control - the CV1 is also available.
WM5T
Looking for a way to hide speakers in a room or don't have space for full-size cabinets? The Coliseum WM5T/70 in-wall, flush mount loudspeaker is your answer. This compact speaker is ideally suited for many applications: commercial installations, home theatre, or home stereo. Using the volume between wall studs as an enclosure, this bass reflex speaker has a 5" woofer and mylar dome tweeter that provide impressive bass, and clean, crisp high frequency response. Installation is a snap with the provided cutting/painting template, while press-fit grille hides all mounting holes to give the WM5T/70 a very clean and finished look. All mounting hardware is also provided. The baffle is made of white ABS plastic with a matching, white, perforated metal grille. It can be easily painted to match its surroundings.
The WM5T/70 features a built-in 70-volt transformer with taps at 5, 10 & 20 watts as well as an 8-ohm (25 watt)bypass tap. Thus multiple WM5T/70s throughout the building can be driven by a single 70-Volt amplifier, eg the 180-Watt Coliseum CA1 or CA1T (with FM tuner,) or the CA12 (six 100-Watt stereo amplifiers in one rack-mount unit). Or, in bypass 8-Ohm mode, a pair of WM5T/70s can be driven by any conventional 25-Watt/channel @ 8 Ohms stereo amplifier.
