I picked this beauty up from L&M in Burlington. All I can say is WOW ! This guitar absolutely delivers. Tone, sustain, feel, comfort. Being a jackson player for 24 years, it took some time for me to get comfortable with the position of the volume abs tone knobs. Other then that, I have absolutely nothing negative to say about this guitar. I love the fact that it has zero weight relief, when you put it on, you know damn well you are wearing a Les Paul. I play it through a fender supersonic head, and my practice amp is a Marshall 50 watt. Great with both set ups.

I love this guitar. I looked all over Canada for one of the last ones available through L&M. The P90's experience has been great so far. They sound so crispy. Over all I was nervous spending so much on a Gibson. Really happy it was spent on this one. The paint and maple top is top shelf. Get one while you can.

I purchased this guitar the same day that Long & McQuade re-opened after the COVID-19 pandemic. It’s my first Gibson electric and I couldn’t be happier. I had asked over the phone if the tech could do a quick setup before I dropped by later in the day to pick it up. Guitar tech Malcolm did a fantastic job with the intonation and setting the action. He said he worked on it for over an hour and the results are absolutely spot on. One thing I’ve noticed is the back of the neck is not super silky smooth like on my Fenders. As I play it more, I’m hoping it will become a little more silky to run my fretting hand up and down the neck. Overall I’m extremely happy and would highly recommend Edmonton’s Whyte Avenue store.

I own this guitar for about a year now. The sounds that comes out of there is a tone on it's own. Fantastic sounding P90's in a gorgeous body that no picture can do justice to because the burst is very special and difficult to catch without proper lighting. The Mahogany neck feels great, the finish makes it a charm to hold it and play it. I gave it a 5 only because I didn't have room to push it to 11.

Wow! This Les Paul is absolutely stunning, from the gorgeous finish AA maple top, mahogany back, to the rounded neck profile, everything feels just right. The P-90s are killer (think Pete Townshend Live at Leeds). Every serious player should own at least one P-90s guitar.

What can I say the stars were aligned it was a magical moment. I am now the proud owner of a Gibson classic player plus orange sunrise .it's my first Gibson I've always loved Les Paul's I have three Epiphone Les Paul's they're all amazing I'll never complain about them at all. I have always wanted Gibson and it's always been just out of my reach this guitar is stunning the case is incredible I mean it's got a beautiful pink lining , a beautiful creamy Brown leather on the outside, a perfect fit for my guitar. Some people say the satin finish for a guitar as a cheap-ass way to do it, but I look at my guitar and I was just wow!!! It's a beautiful guitar. The richlite fretboard... nothing wrong with that at all and kind of like the way it feels and we're saving trees. Case candy... there is some great stuff in it from Gibson. have a really nice tool and they gave me a pickguard I'll never put on ..she's beautiful again this is my first Gibson and I've gone on and on. If you want honesty the case is amazing again a perfect fit. The guitar is immaculate there is nothing wrong with this guitar... the switches work the pots work the pickups work there's no dents or scratches everything's in perfect place it's perfection I know that Gibsons had troubles in the past but they're coming around and I'm glad I waited thank you Long & McQuade thank you Gibson I love this guitar and I will cherish it for the rest of my life an honest reveiw an opinion from an every day JOE 10/10 PERFECT P.S I plan on playing her every moment I have spare...

Gibson got it right with this 2018 model. First for all the P-90s sound really amazing. Mid-range fatness that, very versitle meaning you can play everything from heavy-blues rock to R&B, Soul and Jazz. The orange sunrise finish is breathtaking to look at let alone unique. The neck feels just right, not too thick yet still has a nice chunky feel to it. It's a cross between 50s and 60s. The fretboard is fast. No weight relief so this model is typical heavy Les Paul but has that sustain that we all love.

Performance Warranty Banner

Protect your investment with the Long & McQuade Performance Warranty

A warranty can be a very important factor when making a buying decision. Because repairs can be very expensive in terms of parts and labour costs, manufacturers usually only provide one year limited warranties that generally only cover items that malfunction due to a manufacturer’s defect. With an important purchase such as a musical
instrument or piece of studio gear, however, many people want to have the peace of mind in knowing that their investment will be protected should the product no longer be performing at 100%.

Because of this, Long & McQuade provides our customers with a FREE one-year Performance Warranty on most of our products. The Long & McQuade Performance Warranty supplements the manufacturer’s warranty to ensure that our customers receive complete “no hassle” warranty coverage within their first year.

How does the Long & McQuade Performance Warranty differ from most manufacturers' warranties?
  • Performance Guarantee: Normal wear and tear is covered, so your product will be performing as well as the day you purchased it for the entire duration of the coverage. Band and Orchestral Performance Warranty does not include replacing pads or cleaning for woodwind instruments, unless deemed necessary by our repair staff. Ultrasonic cleaning for brass instruments will be provided if deemed necessary by our repair staff, but is not routinely offered under the Performance Warranty.
  • Product Replacement: If your product cannot be fixed or costs too much to fix, we will replace it with the equivalent model for no additional charge. If this is not possible, a full refund will be provided.
  • No Lemon Policy: Your product will be replaced should the same problem occur multiple times.
  • Convenient: Easy drop off and pick up of the product at any Long & McQuade location.
  • Guitar Setup: Guitars purchased at Long & McQuade come with 1 free setup, to be redeemed within 1 year for new guitars and 90 days for used guitars.
  • Loaners Available: A loaner product may be given while the product is being repaired.
  • Power Surge Protection: Your product is covered even if damaged from a power surge.
  • Accessory Coverage: Any peripheral devices or accessories that come with your product (i.e. foot pedal, case) are also covered.
  • Commercial Use Coverage: Music and recording professionals who purchase gear for “heavy-use” commercial purposes will still be covered.

Long & McQuade reserves the right to restrict the purchase of additional years of Performance Warranty. Used products come with a 3-month Long & McQuade Performance Warranty. Some products (i.e. computers, software, cymbals and other items) are covered only by the manufacturer‘s warranty. Consumables (i.e. strings, reeds, drum sticks, batteries, tubes, cross faders) are excluded as they are designed to be replaced. Cosmetic Damage, Accidental Damage, or problems caused by Humidity or Temperature Issues are not covered. Speakers damaged by overpowering are generally not covered. Our coverage does not provide compensation for loss of use. As of June 2018 the Performance Warranty is no longer transferable. The warranty is only valid in Canada.

Purchasing additional years of coverage

Some manufacturers provide warranties for longer than 1 year; however, these are usually limited warranties that do not provide the same coverage as the Long & McQuade Performance Warranty. Customers interested in more complete and convenient (but not necessarily longer) coverage are still able to purchase additional years of the Performance Warranty.

If you are interested in receiving this coverage for longer than one year, you have the option of purchasing additional years of the Performance Warranty. The pricing is as follows:

  • NEW products: 4% of the current new selling price to double the warranty from 1 year to 2 years. 4% for each additional year.
  • USED products: 4% of the current new selling price to increase the warranty from 3 months to 1 year. 4% for each additional year.
  • GUITARS: 4% of the current new selling price to double the warranty from 1 year to 2 years. 4% for each additional year. $45 maximum. An additional free setup is not included with additional purchased years of Performance Warranty.
  • BAND and ORCHESTRAL instruments: 4% of the current new selling price to double the warranty from 1 year to 2 years. 4% for each additional year.

Great Additions
