It looks amazing and without much adjusting it sounds pretty good! The tone is great, very crisp and clear compared to what I thought it would sound like. It isn't too heavy, easy to tune up, and is an active bass which allows it to have great volume and presence. The B string is a little muddy but the real only issue is the string action. I felt it was a little old school and was a too high for fast comfortable playing even when I tried to adjust it myself. You can most likely send it in to get it lowered by a professional though. This was the first bass guitar I have ever owned so naturally I may be a little biased :P. Again, its great value for a starter bass but you will definitely need to eventually upgrade from it eventually.
