Tama's 1st Chair Series Glide Rider drum throne provides an ideal balance between softness and hardness of the seat.
Features
Glide Rider Seat - a saddle-type seat with molded urethane foam cushion that will hold its shape for years. A 12mm thick plywood base below the seat cushion provides extra strength and security.
Newly Designed Cloth Top features a special fabric material that wicks away perspiration and prevents drummers from slipping while playing.
Super Stabilizer Design - Lowers the center of gravity, and achieves additional stability improvements by lengthening the tripod leg stabilizer bar and designing double-braced tripod legs that do not taper at the point they insert into the rubber feet.
Oversized Rubber Feet - 1.5 times larger than previous TAMA rubber feet to optimize stability.

No, don't play the drums. Guitar and mandolin for extended sessions, plus recording. Tried various round seats and this would cause my legs to go numb due to the edge pressure. The motorcycle style of seat changes all that with support everywhere, but no pressure spots. Lets the legs naturally fall to the floor. Adjusts to suit most any size person. Swivel seat, height adjust - built solid and well designed. Yes, it's more expensive but quality in every respect. Finally a seat that lets me go for hours and in comfort. The seat is that good.
