DB-01 - Dimebag Crybaby Signature Wah

This might just be the most flexible, powerful wah pedal ever. Designed in conjunction with Dimebag Darrell of Pantera, the DB-01 Crybaby From Hell gives you everything you need to do serious wah damage. It's basically what I'd call a hot-rodded wah, Dimebag explains. It's pretty tricked outit's got an extended sweep so you can get it to go more high-endy sounding and deeper too. There's a 5-way selector on the side so you can pick what frequency you're gonna play within. You've got a kick-in boost and LED indicators [Wah on/off, Boost on/off] at the back of the pedalinstead of at the frontso you can see them from the back of the stage. And it's got skateboard skid-tape on it instead of rubber so when you've got beer on your feet you won't slip off it. One other little trick is an extra input jack on the left-hand side of the pedal so you can go in and out of the CFH on just that side if you want. That way, if you're just using the wah, you don't have to loop a chord around the top of the thing, so it's less likely to get stuck under the pedal. I'm real proud of the CFH, man, Dime concludes. It sounds bad-assed and it looks bad-assed too. It's ready for war! Power: Single 9 volt battery or Dunlop ECB-003 AC Adapter - Controls: Adjustable "Q" control modulates frequency breadth of effect Adjustable Volume Boost knob from 0 to + 17dB -Volume Boost On/Off switch, mounted on side (red LED indicates on Fine Tune knob adjusts the toe down sweep range. Six-position knob selects frequency center of effect, mounted on side Wah LED indicates Wah effect on Two-position switch for second output jack function selection (located on main circuit board inside pedal.

Love the versatility on this thing. It sounds amazing and can do pretty much anything you want it to. I'm never going to need any other wah pedal.

I'm not here to promote my band or anything like that. I've owned many many many crybaby's and they we all fine and dandy till I met this one. OMG it screams, it kills. Soo much control over the voicings it almost insane. I am very proud to use this wah and you will have to pry it from my cold clammy hands. The leds on the heel are a nice touch in the passion of the moment. Also the boost button is the absolute best position. I've got big boots and it's nice to control the boost with a tap of the side of my big toe. Beautiful pedal I will use forever. Thanks.

MY name is Adrian Blaney Lead guitarist for the Band Tracenine. gigging from Europe to USA. I'd like to give my opinion on a wah pedal this time. some how to be honest I ended with this Dimebag sigature wah pedal, now I love to try and review new guitar toys but for a wah pedal I'm was a little reluctant because I love my basic vintage Cry Baby which has been serving me well for a while on my pedal board. I had this Dimebag wah, pedal for a year sitting in my closet I had some free time so I was cleaning my closet and the Dimebag wah rolled out to my feet in the new box, ( must of been a sign from Dimebag ) I was like what the hell ok lets plug it in, using a Strat with JB in the bridge sporting a Floyd Rose with a Mesa Boogie Dual Rectifier click it on and BAMMMMMMM !!!!!! holy smokes its like I had the devil under my right foot and I was sqeezing the crap out of his head the harmonics were there screaming for me to stop, there is a preamp switch for more gain to tap with your foot at the right rear also a 5 way pot to adjust the different wah tones, one the side top left , 3 small pots/dials to adjust the "toe pitch , heel pitch and preamp gain" so when you add gain it come on when you activate the wah, you can hear the "devil scream" it like having 10 wah pedals in one, it's built like a brick house, I bought another one for recording our new album in the studio so I have 2 Dimebag wah's ,you will hear the wah on the new Tracenine album . The wah just screams once you dial in your desired tone. by it you'll dig it . "Dimebag thanks for leaving a part of you with us to share R.I.P brother" "step into the right direction with me" cheers Adrian.

Performance Warranty Banner

Protect your investment with the Long & McQuade Performance Warranty

A warranty can be a very important factor when making a buying decision. Because repairs can be very expensive in terms of parts and labour costs, manufacturers usually only provide one year limited warranties that generally only cover items that malfunction due to a manufacturer’s defect. With an important purchase such as a musical
instrument or piece of studio gear, however, many people want to have the peace of mind in knowing that their investment will be protected should the product no longer be performing at 100%.

Because of this, Long & McQuade provides our customers with a FREE one-year Performance Warranty on most of our products. The Long & McQuade Performance Warranty supplements the manufacturer’s warranty to ensure that our customers receive complete “no hassle” warranty coverage within their first year.

How does the Long & McQuade Performance Warranty differ from most manufacturers' warranties?
  • Performance Guarantee: Normal wear and tear is covered, so your product will be performing as well as the day you purchased it for the entire duration of the coverage. Band and Orchestral Performance Warranty does not include replacing pads or cleaning for woodwind instruments, unless deemed necessary by our repair staff. Ultrasonic cleaning for brass instruments will be provided if deemed necessary by our repair staff, but is not routinely offered under the Performance Warranty.
  • Product Replacement: If your product cannot be fixed or costs too much to fix, we will replace it with the equivalent model for no additional charge. If this is not possible, a full refund will be provided.
  • No Lemon Policy: Your product will be replaced should the same problem occur multiple times.
  • Convenient: Easy drop off and pick up of the product at any Long & McQuade location.
  • Guitar Setup: Guitars purchased at Long & McQuade come with 1 free setup, to be redeemed within 1 year for new guitars and 90 days for used guitars.
  • Loaners Available: A loaner product may be given while the product is being repaired.
  • Power Surge Protection: Your product is covered even if damaged from a power surge.
  • Accessory Coverage: Any peripheral devices or accessories that come with your product (i.e. foot pedal, case) are also covered.
  • Commercial Use Coverage: Music and recording professionals who purchase gear for “heavy-use” commercial purposes will still be covered.

Long & McQuade reserves the right to restrict the purchase of additional years of Performance Warranty. Used products come with a 3-month Long & McQuade Performance Warranty. Some products (i.e. computers, software, cymbals and other items) are covered only by the manufacturer‘s warranty. Consumables (i.e. strings, reeds, drum sticks, batteries, tubes, cross faders) are excluded as they are designed to be replaced. Cosmetic Damage, Accidental Damage, or problems caused by Humidity or Temperature Issues are not covered. Speakers damaged by overpowering are generally not covered. Our coverage does not provide compensation for loss of use. As of June 2018 the Performance Warranty is no longer transferable. The warranty is only valid in Canada.

Purchasing additional years of coverage

Some manufacturers provide warranties for longer than 1 year; however, these are usually limited warranties that do not provide the same coverage as the Long & McQuade Performance Warranty. Customers interested in more complete and convenient (but not necessarily longer) coverage are still able to purchase additional years of the Performance Warranty.

If you are interested in receiving this coverage for longer than one year, you have the option of purchasing additional years of the Performance Warranty. The pricing is as follows:

  • NEW products: 4% of the current new selling price to double the warranty from 1 year to 2 years. 4% for each additional year.
  • USED products: 4% of the current new selling price to increase the warranty from 3 months to 1 year. 4% for each additional year.
  • GUITARS: 4% of the current new selling price to double the warranty from 1 year to 2 years. 4% for each additional year. $45 maximum. An additional free setup is not included with additional purchased years of Performance Warranty.
  • BAND and ORCHESTRAL instruments: 4% of the current new selling price to double the warranty from 1 year to 2 years. 4% for each additional year.
