I looked long and hard to find a guitar with a nice mellow blend of mids highs and base. This guitar is 8 years old...played a lot of gigs and sounds better the more it is played {a solid wood trait}. Still looks like new. The Fishman electronics are simple to use and sound even better than playing acoustically.

I purchased this guitar new in 2014. Have used it a lot in 4 years. trying only a few different strings. no issues with it and when I polish it up it looks as new as the day I bought it. keep it humified with the Martin recommed Oasis Humidifer I Have to say, if you want a good balanced acoustic with a cutaway You can buy all the fancier ones for more money, but this is a great acoustic to get out and perform with right off ....and that being said, its a Martin, ...people love Martin owners btw cuz we're cool and we sound great !!

I bought this guitar about 9 months ago and it has played beautifully ever since. having the built in tuner was a great surprise. The guitar sounds great both plugged in and acoustic. I love that Martin sound!! It has a great mid and high range, lacks a bit on the low end. if that is something you want maybe go for the dreadnought model. All in all a great guitar and i am very happy with my purchase.

Good sustain, excellent playability, great sound! Martin is charging a lot for a guitar full of alternative materials. However, it sounds better than the sum of its parts indicate. I am in year three with a lot of travel year round. This is a tough instrument, stays in tune and keeps its tonal qualities.

Looked for and played a ton of guitars before settling on this Martin. It has a great tone and sounds even better when it's plugged in. The one thing i was a little disappointed in was the on board tuner- the LEDs don't fade as it gets closer to tune. So there is a little bit of play where it can show green, even when you make a slight adjustment. It still works- it's just something that i noticed that could be improved on. I will say though, as sweet as the guitar was- i won't buy from L&M again. They gave me the OM model and had to come back the next day to switch. It was going to take a week to get it set up and they wouldn't even throw in a set of strings! For $1200- i expected a little better service

I just purchased this guitar a few hours ago, after trying out about a dozen guitars in the same price range. It came down to a Taylor 314ce vs this Martin. The Martin beat it hands down in sound, and after a 3 hour comparison, the Marin also beat it for playability. I'll write another review in a few months after I've performed and recorded with this beautiful instrument!

A super guitar, fantastic value for an intermediate to advanced player. I got mine 2 months ago, Now I just can't put it down! I had the action lowered after purchase, it is now (by far) the most comfortable guitar I have ever played. Sound is excellent, especially after installing a set of John Pearce PB 53's. The neck on my guitar is solid mahogany with a richlite fret board on top, which i must agree is a top class substitute for African Ebony. The Fishman Analog electronics works well. Bottom Line: the best US made acoustic/elect guitar for the money. Well done C.F. Martin.

I just love this guitar! Sound is very good, I tried all the acoustics and nothing else compared, except a Taylor. This came with a hard shell case, where the Taylor did not. The neck is made of richlite Which may turn some people off but I love it. Less resistant to dirt and oils from my hands.

I bought this guitar about a year and a half ago and it's been probably one of the best investments I've ever made. I tested many different brands of acoustic and I have not found one that sounds as rich as this model. It has a wide nut width which lends well to finger picking. It has a beautiful rich tone when strumming and it's bright and crisp when picking. If you like a really deep bass acoustic this one is might not for you. I find most Dreadnoughts I've played to give a deeper tone than my Martin will produce but none can match the mid and upper range of this body style of Martin. Bang for buck I don't think you will find better value than these class of Martin guitars. - The last time I took it in to get the neck adjusted, I sat down to test it, strummed two chords and both technicians stopped what they were doing to ask me what guitar that was. - :)

Performance Warranty Banner

Protect your investment with the Long & McQuade Performance Warranty

A warranty can be a very important factor when making a buying decision. Because repairs can be very expensive in terms of parts and labour costs, manufacturers usually only provide one year limited warranties that generally only cover items that malfunction due to a manufacturer’s defect. With an important purchase such as a musical
instrument or piece of studio gear, however, many people want to have the peace of mind in knowing that their investment will be protected should the product no longer be performing at 100%.

Because of this, Long & McQuade provides our customers with a FREE one-year Performance Warranty on most of our products. The Long & McQuade Performance Warranty supplements the manufacturer’s warranty to ensure that our customers receive complete “no hassle” warranty coverage within their first year.

How does the Long & McQuade Performance Warranty differ from most manufacturers' warranties?
  • Performance Guarantee: Normal wear and tear is covered, so your product will be performing as well as the day you purchased it for the entire duration of the coverage. Band and Orchestral Performance Warranty does not include replacing pads or cleaning for woodwind instruments, unless deemed necessary by our repair staff. Ultrasonic cleaning for brass instruments will be provided if deemed necessary by our repair staff, but is not routinely offered under the Performance Warranty.
  • Product Replacement: If your product cannot be fixed or costs too much to fix, we will replace it with the equivalent model for no additional charge. If this is not possible, a full refund will be provided.
  • No Lemon Policy: Your product will be replaced should the same problem occur multiple times.
  • Convenient: Easy drop off and pick up of the product at any Long & McQuade location.
  • Guitar Setup: Guitars purchased at Long & McQuade come with 1 free setup, to be redeemed within 1 year for new guitars and 90 days for used guitars.
  • Loaners Available: A loaner product may be given while the product is being repaired.
  • Power Surge Protection: Your product is covered even if damaged from a power surge.
  • Accessory Coverage: Any peripheral devices or accessories that come with your product (i.e. foot pedal, case) are also covered.
  • Commercial Use Coverage: Music and recording professionals who purchase gear for “heavy-use” commercial purposes will still be covered.

Long & McQuade reserves the right to restrict the purchase of additional years of Performance Warranty. Used products come with a 3-month Long & McQuade Performance Warranty. Some products (i.e. computers, software, cymbals and other items) are covered only by the manufacturer‘s warranty. Consumables (i.e. strings, reeds, drum sticks, batteries, tubes, cross faders) are excluded as they are designed to be replaced. Cosmetic Damage, Accidental Damage, or problems caused by Humidity or Temperature Issues are not covered. Speakers damaged by overpowering are generally not covered. Our coverage does not provide compensation for loss of use. As of June 2018 the Performance Warranty is no longer transferable. The warranty is only valid in Canada.

Purchasing additional years of coverage

Some manufacturers provide warranties for longer than 1 year; however, these are usually limited warranties that do not provide the same coverage as the Long & McQuade Performance Warranty. Customers interested in more complete and convenient (but not necessarily longer) coverage are still able to purchase additional years of the Performance Warranty.

If you are interested in receiving this coverage for longer than one year, you have the option of purchasing additional years of the Performance Warranty. The pricing is as follows:

  • NEW products: 4% of the current new selling price to double the warranty from 1 year to 2 years. 4% for each additional year.
  • USED products: 4% of the current new selling price to increase the warranty from 3 months to 1 year. 4% for each additional year.
  • GUITARS: 4% of the current new selling price to double the warranty from 1 year to 2 years. 4% for each additional year. $45 maximum. An additional free setup is not included with additional purchased years of Performance Warranty.
  • BAND and ORCHESTRAL instruments: 4% of the current new selling price to double the warranty from 1 year to 2 years. 4% for each additional year.
