Perhaps not the use they were intended for, but I am over 80 and losing my high frequencies. I like to listen to podcasts on an MP3 player in bed when I can't sleep but have had a lot of trouble finding good earbuds with high-frequency response. I happened to me in a Long & McQuade store while my grandson was picking up something and asked about earbuds, coming away with a pair of these. They are by far the best I've ever had, the sound is crystal clear even without my hearing aids - I've never before been able to listen to my MP3 on a plane as I was yesterday. Of course the weak point is always the point where the cord meets the jack, but I've only had them for 3 days! (This is where my last pair from the Source started to fail and they cost more with poorer sound.

I bought my first pair and was blown away by the sound quality. They sound pretty good, I can listen to music without cringing. Now I am on my second pair, the death of my first pair was caused by the connection between the wire and the jack. I guess it was too stiff. The wires sleeve was abnormally "hard", on the first pair, with my current pair the wire's casing is soft (it sticks together with pressure). Essentially the build quality can vary, but I would recommend them for the sound quality and the simpleness of them.

Sound quality is great and they have a good amount of noise isolation, but they don't last more than a few months with regular use. The point where the cable meets the jack is extremely weak and will cause the wire to break. Same comment as another review as well that the buds fall out very easily, and replacements aren't cheap. If you use these earbuds somewhere stationary like an office, then perhaps they will last years. Other than that you're better off spending $15 for the cheapies that hold up to daily use.

Had these guys for about 4 months and just recently the sound dropped out in one ear completely and then gradually the other ear as well. Great sound, great noise canceller, but with they would've lasted me longer than they did.

Like others, been going thru many in-ear headphones to replace my defunct Skullcandy's (loved those!). Tried many, most did not fit or feel well in the ear. These are simply amazing! Great fit, terrific range of sounds! Bass could be a bit heavier, but is really not bad at all! Mids and highs are clear and crisp! These are EASILY worth the price!

I was been burning through in-ear monitors like nothing, so started looking for cheap alternatives. I started at the Shure e3C, but even though they have great sound, those lasted no longer than the cheapest ones (cables hardened, frayed and split causing drop outs and eventually loss of sound in one ear or the other). I discovered these and tried them on stage (I'm a drummer). I swear by them. for $35 I can't believe the value. I'm on my first stage pair and have gigged them over 150 nights. Bought a pair to use off-duty with my iPhone for music, and can't believe the sound. The wire is cheaply clad and is fine gauge, so I don't know how long they'll last, but so far so good, and the sheath hasn't hardened or cracked. The only downside is that one of the gel buds started falling off, so I had to drop a dab of crazy glue on it to hold it in place, but that's after a year's worth of abuse.

I was looking of a set of headphones for the office, so I decided to take a chance. I was blown a way by the sound, Nice crisp highs and deep bass, not at all tinny like the Sony's I replaced. Definitively worth the money.

I'm pleased to report I've been pleasantly surprised by the quality and durability of these headphones, especially for the money. When I originally purchased them, I simply wanted a pair I could wear in the gym that were better than the 9.99 special in walmart, but when I tried them out, I was blown away. The sound quality was fantastic and the small drivers deliver substantial bass as well. The design is solid and the quality of the bud is very strong. The size of the ear pieces is a bit awkward and after long wearing periods the ears can get a bit sore, but other than that, a great value product. I'd recommend it to anybody looking for good quality sound at a very reasonable price.
