The MK 2H is ideal for natural-sounding pickup of instruments and orchestras in spaces with well-balanced reverberance. Perfect in medium distance-placement setups, the MK 2H equally picks up direct and reverberant sound and is often described as 'balanced and round'. The sound inlet of the MK 2H is narrower than that of typical pressure transducers, causing a slight, purely acoustic response elevation above 6 kHz. This reduces the high frequency loss for diffuse sound, thus helping to preserve natural sound quality.
