I wanted to fully buffer my pedal board - settled on the TC Electronic Bonafide Buffer for the output, and disovered that this cool little tuner has the same buffer built in - perfect for the input of the pedal board. The buffer can be switched on or off, which is a nice feauture (I always leave it on, since that was the whole point), and the tuner can be set to always on as well, which I really like. This feature does not affect the tone or produce any sonic interference. I have a volume pedal later in the chain to kill the signal while tuning, and you can still hit the switch for silent tuning if you want. The polyphonic tuning feature is convenient if you want to do a quick check on all 6 strings at once, while the single string chromatic tuning is very accurate and the display is easy to read. I don't use the strobe tuning or other features, prefer the standard setup. This is a really brilliant design, and a great buy if you want a buffer at the front of the chain and a cool tuner. Very small footprint, low power draw.
