This is a very complete instrument. Competes with USA strat. Plays well from top to bottom. Quality Machine Heads (18 to 1 ratio ). Quality nut, well cut and finished. Neck pocket is a perfect fit. Fret board is level and feels great. Excellent fret work, Pick ups sound great, all strat tones and full sounding bridge humbucker that splits to single coil. Bridge is well made and tremolo works as it should. Strap lock compatible. A bit heavy overall, but not a deal breaker. Well made gig bag. Nice job Godin!

Awesome Canadian made guitar and great service from Darrel. He was patient and answered all my questions. I wasn't in the store for two minutes when he asked if I needed help. This is my second guitar from the Godin family that I've bought from long and mcquade.

I picked this one up today after reading glowing reviews. Here are my first impressions. First, they brought this up from the warehouse and tuned it up for me and that was all it needed. The action is great and the intonation was perfect without any adjustments (I can't say that about my American strat which was unplayable without a full setup). I hadn't seen anything about this but it came with Godin?a true lock 2 point trem with a large trem block which makes this thing ring for days. It's surprisingly resonant to be honest. The satin finish is perfect and the neck has a super comfortable profile with a satin finish on the back. The neck feels almost as nice as my American strat...the tuners feel solid it has roller string trees and the overall weight is very comfortable. The pickups sound good with the splittable humbucker and 2 single coils and the pots are smooth and quiet. On top of everything, I have a Canadian guitar which blows away any MIM strat I've ever owned for less than a classic vibe squier. Try one of these, you won't be disappointed and will probably go home with this affordable instrument.

This is the best guitar you can get for its price. I had a solidbody Godin before, this one is even better. I specially like the 3 main positions, bridge pickup, middle, and neck. I play comfortably numb on it and it's quite close to a stat sound. Overall, a great guitar, and Canadian, it also comes with a deluxe gig bag, a signed quality control card, and a bunch of allan keys to adjust the truss rod. Godin became a well-known company by making quality guitars. Get one !

This guitar is just mind-blowing. The value of this guitar is phenomenal. I would expect to pay $800+ for a great guitar like this. The tonal variation is awesome. Anything from metal to country. The guitar feels amazing, the neck is super smooth and the frets are outstanding for the money I don't think there is any better options.

Just bought this guitar a week ago. Haven't spent a lot of time on it but so far it is by far the best guitar I have tried below a grand. I think I even like it better than my strat. It just feels solid and comfortable and I didn't have to do anything to it except a minor intonation adjustment.

Neck pickup- high output , plenty low end I was suprised how much more this drives my tube amp compared to my strat -middle pickup- nothing special , but very well balanced higher than average output Bridge - at first I didn't like it. the output level was to low and didn't match the two single coil pickups , I raised it, pickup came alive, very well balanced , much more of a vintage paf sound with good mids (make sure the height is properly adjusted) - coil split feature is nice , but I don't use much , so I can't really comment - the best feature is the neck . It's the most comfortable I have ever played , that includes some 1500-3000$ guitars (fender Stratocaster American deluxe, les Paul standards ) -quality control seems to be on of the string points of Godin, I tried several different models , fretboard(maple, rosewood) and they all played , sounded amazing , good fretwork , finish - You get features that are only found on 1500$ + guitars ex: coil split, double truss rode, roller string trees, quality pickups Overall I'm quite amazing at how much value you get for so little money , mim money for American deluxe quality !!! Go try one !

Performance Warranty Banner

Protect your investment with the Long & McQuade Performance Warranty

A warranty can be a very important factor when making a buying decision. Because repairs can be very expensive in terms of parts and labour costs, manufacturers usually only provide one year limited warranties that generally only cover items that malfunction due to a manufacturer’s defect. With an important purchase such as a musical
instrument or piece of studio gear, however, many people want to have the peace of mind in knowing that their investment will be protected should the product no longer be performing at 100%.

Because of this, Long & McQuade provides our customers with a FREE one-year Performance Warranty on most of our products. The Long & McQuade Performance Warranty supplements the manufacturer’s warranty to ensure that our customers receive complete “no hassle” warranty coverage within their first year.

How does the Long & McQuade Performance Warranty differ from most manufacturers' warranties?
  • Performance Guarantee: Normal wear and tear is covered, so your product will be performing as well as the day you purchased it for the entire duration of the coverage. Band and Orchestral Performance Warranty does not include replacing pads or cleaning for woodwind instruments, unless deemed necessary by our repair staff. Ultrasonic cleaning for brass instruments will be provided if deemed necessary by our repair staff, but is not routinely offered under the Performance Warranty.
  • Product Replacement: If your product cannot be fixed or costs too much to fix, we will replace it with the equivalent model for no additional charge. If this is not possible, a full refund will be provided.
  • No Lemon Policy: Your product will be replaced should the same problem occur multiple times.
  • Convenient: Easy drop off and pick up of the product at any Long & McQuade location.
  • Guitar Setup: Guitars purchased at Long & McQuade come with 1 free setup, to be redeemed within 1 year for new guitars and 90 days for used guitars.
  • Loaners Available: A loaner product may be given while the product is being repaired.
  • Power Surge Protection: Your product is covered even if damaged from a power surge.
  • Accessory Coverage: Any peripheral devices or accessories that come with your product (i.e. foot pedal, case) are also covered.
  • Commercial Use Coverage: Music and recording professionals who purchase gear for “heavy-use” commercial purposes will still be covered.

Long & McQuade reserves the right to restrict the purchase of additional years of Performance Warranty. Used products come with a 3-month Long & McQuade Performance Warranty. Some products (i.e. computers, software, cymbals and other items) are covered only by the manufacturer‘s warranty. Consumables (i.e. strings, reeds, drum sticks, batteries, tubes, cross faders) are excluded as they are designed to be replaced. Cosmetic Damage, Accidental Damage, or problems caused by Humidity or Temperature Issues are not covered. Speakers damaged by overpowering are generally not covered. Our coverage does not provide compensation for loss of use. As of June 2018 the Performance Warranty is no longer transferable. The warranty is only valid in Canada.

Purchasing additional years of coverage

Some manufacturers provide warranties for longer than 1 year; however, these are usually limited warranties that do not provide the same coverage as the Long & McQuade Performance Warranty. Customers interested in more complete and convenient (but not necessarily longer) coverage are still able to purchase additional years of the Performance Warranty.

If you are interested in receiving this coverage for longer than one year, you have the option of purchasing additional years of the Performance Warranty. The pricing is as follows:

  • NEW products: 4% of the current new selling price to double the warranty from 1 year to 2 years. 4% for each additional year.
  • USED products: 4% of the current new selling price to increase the warranty from 3 months to 1 year. 4% for each additional year.
  • GUITARS: 4% of the current new selling price to double the warranty from 1 year to 2 years. 4% for each additional year. $45 maximum. An additional free setup is not included with additional purchased years of Performance Warranty.
  • BAND and ORCHESTRAL instruments: 4% of the current new selling price to double the warranty from 1 year to 2 years. 4% for each additional year.
