I bought both this one and the AT5 and although the AT5 is ok for guitare, I woud definitely recommend the AT4 for bass. It has a very good tracking and can tune any 5 strings. Great purchase for the price

I bought 2 of these things. They both failed in exactly the same way; on a random basis they will tell me that every note I'm hitting is D. The fix? Take the battery out, wait a few seconds, put battery back in, working fine. Just annoying when you're at home practicing. A little more than annoying when you're on stage and need to make sure your acoustic is in tune, meanwhile the band's waiting (on stage, did I mention that?) while you explain 'Sorry, my tuner's having a brain fart'. I know it's not the best tuner in the store, but as of now, the two I have can't even do their most basic functions. Off to the electronics recycling bin with them and I'll never buy this brand again.
